We recently had the chance to connect with Rhea Francani and have shared our conversation below.
Rhea, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
I’m proud to have created a performing arts program for middle schoolers at Florida Atlantic University. Mentoring young people while continuing to make my own music is one of my favorite parts of what I do.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am a recording artist, singer-songwriter, and educator. My sound fuses classic country with pop, rock, and bluegrass. It features catchy hooks, danceable rhythms, and emotional storytelling.
My highly anticipated 10-track album, Ever After, drops Friday, October 10. Co-written with my sisters Adria and Elisia, the album is a vibrant, contemporary collection of pop-country songs about love—falling in, letting go, and finding clarity along the way. Ever After draws inspiration from my musical icons, including Kelsea Ballerini, Carly Pearce, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, and Boyz II Men.
When I’m not writing and recording, I pour my heart into my role as a dedicated Performing Arts Teacher at the prestigious Florida Atlantic University School in South Florida. I hold a B.A. in Performing Arts from Wagner College and an M.A. in Music and Music Education from Columbia University, blending my deep academic background with real-world performance expertise.
Prior to this current chapter, I lived and created music in Nashville, where I co-produced my debut album, Now or Never—a 12-track project featuring the fan-favorite “Shotgun Baby” and my breakout single “Dizzy,” which reached #11 on the global HotDisc chart and was spotlighted on All Access Nashville. “Dizzy” earned broad international acclaim and continues to receive radio play across country and pop formats.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
My first music lessons occurred around the piano with my two sisters and my parents. The living room floor was our stage! I come from a very musical family that celebrates music every single day. Those early experiences with my family inspired my deep love of making and performing music.
When you were sad or scared as a child, what helped?
I always turned to my family for support. I’ve also always taken great comfort and found great joy in singing and performing. Creating music allows me to express my deepest emotions while telling stories that entertain and create real connections with people.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My friends would say I’m passionate about my family, my friendships, teaching Performing Arts, and creating music. My new album Ever After reflects one of the most meaningful chapters of my life. It’s a collection of pop-country songs that tell a story of love—falling in, letting go, and finding clarity along the way. Each track holds a memory, a moment, or a lesson, woven together into a journey I’m proud to share.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I am 100% doing what I was born to do! I adore creating music, telling heartfelt stories and mentoring other young performers!
