We’re looking forward to introducing you to Maritza Capiro. Check out our conversation below.
Maritza, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What is a normal day like for you right now?
Every day is a dynamic blend of creativity and collaboration. I spend my time working closely with my team to craft thoughtful, elevated interiors that truly reflect our clients’ lifestyles. Whether it’s new construction, a full renovation, or a furniture-focused project, we approach each design with a fresh perspective.
My days are a mix of time in the studio—reviewing design concepts, sourcing materials, and refining presentations—and site visits to oversee progress and maintain the high level of detail we’re known for. I’m very hands-on throughout the process, from the initial creative direction to reviewing selections with my team before we present to the client. That balance of creativity, strategy, and execution is what keeps me inspired.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello! I’m Maritza Capiro, an interior designer with studios in South Florida and Colorado. My passion lies in transforming homes into luxurious yet livable sanctuaries—and ensuring that the design experience is seamless, stress-free, and enjoyable for every client.
With advanced degrees in Interior Architecture and Design, I draw upon more than two decades of experience to create interiors that are timeless, functional, and deeply personal. Whether it’s new construction, a full remodel, or a furniture-focused refresh, my approach centers on high-quality materials, thoughtful scale, and harmony with each client’s lifestyle.
What makes my brand unique? It’s our full-service, single-point-of-contact model—from concept development and space planning to sourcing, project management, and installation. We guide clients through every step with calm precision and refined clarity.
Our work has been featured in respected publications such as Elle Decor, Florida Design, and Modern Luxury Interiors. But beyond accolades, the feedback I cherish most comes from clients who describe our process as professional, responsive, and detail-driven—elevating their homes in a way that feels both elevated and utterly personal.
Currently, we’re working on a range of projects—from coastal retreats in Marco Island to mountain homes in Silverthorne. Each one allows us to thoughtfully blend architectural integrity with refined finishes, custom furnishings, and curated art to create spaces that feel distinctly expressive of who our clients are and how they live.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
Being the mother of three boys has absolutely shaped how I see myself and the world around me. Motherhood has taught me resilience, patience, and a deeper understanding of how homes need to support real life—functionally and emotionally. It’s given me a keen awareness of the balance between beauty and practicality, which naturally translates into my design work. Creating spaces that are not just visually striking but also comfortable, livable, and tailored to a family’s lifestyle is something I care deeply about. That perspective informs everything I do, both personally and professionally.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self: believe in yourself, stay focused, and work hard—everything you dream of is possible. The journey may have its challenges, but with determination and heart, you’ll create a life and career that is both fulfilling and inspiring.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, absolutely. I believe in being authentic in every part of my life—whether it’s how I run my business, how I design for clients, or how I show up personally. What you see publicly is a true reflection of who I am: dedicated, passionate about design, and committed to creating meaningful experiences for the people I work with. Authenticity builds trust, and I think that’s the foundation of any lasting relationship—both in life and in business.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
I think my clients would miss the level of attention to detail I bring to every project—and the creative, out-of-the-box solutions that make each space feel uniquely theirs. I’m deeply invested in getting every element right, from the architectural flow to the smallest finishing touch. Clients often tell me they feel seen and understood throughout the process, and I believe they would miss that personalized, hands-on approach the most.
