Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Kristy & Vic Arias of Palm Beach

Kristy & Vic Arias shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Good morning Kristy & Vic, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What is a normal day like for you right now?
On any given day you can find us juggling work and raising our daughters. We have a 6 and 3 year old and they keep us busy but our life is really lots of fun! We take turns accomplishing the tasks we have to do for our business while the other cares for and entertains our girls. It’s definitely busy, but we love every minute of it!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
We’re Kristy and Vic and we are a husband and wife wedding photography team based in South Florida. We have been shooting weddings together for 13 years and absolutely LOVE what we do and the fact that we get to do it together! We are so honored that we get to capture one of the most important days in a couples life and we get to do it for the most amazing couples!

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
I think that moment for both of us was when our first daughter was born. It changed. everything for us and our perspective on what is important in life shifted. Our priority now is raising our girls to be who God has called them to be and allowing them to grow and learn alongside us.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I think we would both tell our younger selves that hold on and see that dream become reality. For a long time, we dreamed of being a husband and wife wedding team but we were both working full time jobs and it seemed as if we’d never be successful enough to do it. That dream seemed so far away when we were younger and now we get to live that dream everyday and raise our daughters together while running a business we truly love.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Our relationship with God and our family is what matters most to us. Without Him we wouldn’t be where we are today and we know that His goodness is the reason why we are here! And our daughters are the reason we work hard to provide for them and show them that you can do what you love.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
We hope that people will say we brought joy to their lives. We hope they can see our love for God and others and that we got to use our gifts to make others smile.
