Holly Baron shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Holly, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
One of my most rewarding experiences was being recognized by a nonprofit organization in Buffalo, New York, who invited me to their city and generously provided travel and accommodations. During my visit, I had the privilege of engaging with 200 high school students across five different schools. I emphasized the critical importance of establishing strong credit, actively building your financial profile, and strategically leveraging credit to secure business funding. Empowering these students with practical strategies and actionable insights, I witnessed many realize how proactive financial management can transform their future opportunities.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Holly, and I am the founder of Stay Free Enterprise, a credit repair and financial empowerment company dedicated to guiding individuals toward financial success. What makes my brand unique is our personalized approach and our commitment to educating clients on credit and business funding strategies. In addition to helping clients restore and build their credit, I specialize in business funding, empowering entrepreneurs to access the capital they need to grow. I also mentor professionals across different industries , especially those in sales, showing them how to start and scale their own credit repair businesses,or simply how to sell credit services as an additional source of income. My goal is to inspire confidence, provide actionable tools, and foster a community of financial transformation and opportunity.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Bonds between people are most often broken by a lack of communication, trust, and empathy,as well as the absence of accountability and transparency.
When misunderstandings persist, and there is little responsibility taken for actions or decisions, relationships can easily unravel. However, these bonds can be restored through honest communication, openness, and a genuine willingness to listen and forgive.
Equally important are accountability and transparency; when people own their actions and remain transparent with one another, it builds the trust needed to reconnect and often strengthens relationships beyond their original state.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Holly, you are smart, never doubt that. Being conditioned to think you were stupid, slow, or just ‘pretty’ was truly misguided.
Over time, you’ll realize the people closest to you will play three roles: some will see your light from the very beginning and wholeheartedly support you.
Some will try to protect you by doubting or humbling your dreams, often out of love or simply not believing it’s possible firsthand, and some won’t support you at all, seeing your passion as just a phase.
In entrepreneurship, it’s a common truth that strangers will often recognize and celebrate your potential before family does, don’t let that discourage you. Trust your intelligence and intuition, because you are meant for more than you can imagine.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
Honestly, social media has deeply shaped the way I present myself. For a long time, I tried to appear as though I had it all together, whether it was material things, business success, or even just feeling confident, especially in those tough early days of entrepreneurship.
I believed in the saying, “fake it until you make it,” hoping those dreams would eventually become reality. But behind the scenes, I was working relentlessly, weathering years of doubts, setbacks, and tears.
There were moments I truly felt lost, worried I was just following others and that my life was on the wrong path while I chased a dream. Especially early on, it felt like I didn’t belong.
But over the past eight months, I’ve realized how much I’ve grown. My business has opened doors to opportunities I used to only admire on Pinterest, and it now supports a lifestyle I used to pray for.
I’m incredibly grateful to God for all the blessings along this journey. Above all, I’m proud I didn’t quit, no matter how tough life got or how many times I was humbled. That perseverance is what truly made the difference.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
One thing I’ve come to understand on a deep level is the power of intentionally shaping your mornings and your mindset. Waking up early and using the S.A.V.E.R.S. routine—Silence, Affirmations, Visualization, Exercise, Reading, and Scribing—sets a strong foundation for my day and helps protect my peace of mind.
I also believe that who you surround yourself with matters; you truly are a product of the five people you spend the most time with.
As I’ve grown, I’ve learned that you cannot remain both the old and new versions of yourself. Eventually, you must let go of your old habits and ways of thinking in order to fully step into who you’re meant to become.
You can’t blend the two, you have to choose the path that aligns with your aspirations and dreams. That’s something I’ve embraced, and it’s made all the difference in my life and growth.
