We’re looking forward to introducing you to Diana Moll. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Diana, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What’s the most surprising thing you’ve learned about your customers?
The most surprising thing I have learned is how universal the feeling of overwhelm is. It doesn’t matter if someone has a large home or a small apartment, is managing a family or living alone-clutter and disorganization weigh on everyone in some way. What really surprised me is that once we take even a few steps together, people almost instantly feel lighter, calmer, and more in control. It’s a reminder that we’re all human, and that making space- whether in our homes, our schedules, or our minds-creates room for ease and happiness.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Diana Moll, founder and CEO of D’s Declutrr and host of the podcast Organizing with Ease. As a Professional Organizer, I work with clients through all stages of life transition-whether it’s moving in, moving out, downsizing, or simply wanting to reclaim their homes. From kitchens and closets to full household systems, my focus is not just on organizing for today but creating sustainable routines and accountability that last well into the future.
To support that, I developed my Fresh Start Method(r), which blends practical organization with mindset shifts so clients feel lighter, more confident, and in control. And while my work began with hands-on organizing, I’m now expanding into coaching programs that will give people new ways to apply the Fresh Start Method(r) in their everyday lives. It’s an exciting next chapter, and one that I believe will help even more people create home and habits that truly support them.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
I’ve seen that what often breaks bonds between people isn’t something dramatic-it’s usually unspoken expectations. We assume others know what we need or how we feel, but when that goes unshared, it creates distance and disconnection. What restores those bonds, though, is home communication and the willingness to be present. Even small gestures of listening and showing up can rebuild trust and closeness. In many ways, it’s the same as organizing a home: clutter builds silently until it feels heavy, but once you clear it away, space and light return. Relationships, like our homes, thrive when we create room for clarity, care, and connection.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes-being a female entrepreneur absolutely comes with its struggles, its ups and downs. There were moments when I questioned if it was all worth it, but what I’ve learned is that you have to keep moving forward, step by step, little by little-the same advice I give to my clients. I remind myself often: never give up on your dreams, and definitely not on your business goals. They may shift or look different than you first imagined, but you have to keep that vision. Even in the hardest moments, in business and in life, you have to stand tall and keep going.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
For me, it’s my Fresh Start Method(r). It started with me personally- I needed a way to reset, get organized, and feel back in control. Then I realized how powerful it was when I began using it with clients, and I saw the same transformation in them. From there, I knew I wanted to build it into something bigger: a method, and now coaching programs that help people create real, lasting change. It’s been years in the making, and it will keep evolving, but no matter how long it takes, I’m committed to sharing it because everyone deserves a fresh start.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
What I’ve come to understand deeply is that clutter is never just about stuff. It’s about the emotions, decisions, and even identity tied to those things. A closet full of clothes might hold memories of different season of life. A garage packed with boxes may represent choices we haven’t faced yet. Many people think organizing is only about bins and labels, but in reality, it’s about helping people process what they’re holding on to and why.
When you begin to let go of what no longer serves you, you don’t just clear a shelf-you clear mental space, lower stress, and open yourself up to new opportunities. That’s the deeper truth: decluttering is really about creating peace of mind and space for life you want to live. Because in the end, organization isn’t about how your home looks-it’s about how your life feels: lighter, calmer, freer.
