Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Angelina Rosario Bright of Broward County

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Angelina Rosario Bright . Check out our conversation below.

Angelina, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
My first 90 minutes are non-negotiable.

I’m a big believer in habits that anchor you, and my mornings are sacred. I wake up at 5:30 a.m., make my coffee, and head out to get a workout in. Once I’m back, I start my “Five Success Habits”—usually from my balcony—before the rest of the day begins. These five practices completely transformed my life, which is why I wrote a book about them: Release Yourself: Living Beyond Society’s Expectations.

Every morning, I journal, speak affirmations, visualize, pray, and meditate. Just five minutes each, but they realign me with who I am and how I want to show up. I don’t leave the house without doing them. Even on packed days, if I can’t do all five, I’ll do at least three. This ritual grounds me, energizes me, and gives me clarity before the world gets loud.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Angelina Rosario-Bright. I’m the Director of Sales for a top media company, a TEDx speaker, ICF Certified Success Coach, and the author of two books—including my most recent, *Release Yourself: Living Beyond Society’s Expectations*. I’m also the founder of *She Fixes Crowns*, a movement and platform created to help women rise above adversity by turning their pain into purpose.

My journey took a life-altering turn when I was diagnosed with a disfiguring tumor the size of a baseball in my face. Over four years, I endured multiple major surgeries—including the removal of five teeth, a nerve, and part of my hip—followed by months of recovery where I could barely walk or talk. But that painful season gave birth to my 5 Success Habits, a daily system that helped me reclaim my mind, body, and purpose—and now helps others do the same.

I believe adversity is an invitation to rise. That belief has become the heartbeat of my work. In 2023, I was honored as one of the **Top 50 Women Leaders in Miami**, and today, whether I’m mentoring women, speaking on stage, or leading in one of the nation’s top media markets, I carry one mission forward: to help people unlock their power, live with bold faith, and turn pain into purpose.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
One moment that truly shaped how I see the world was my four-year journey battling a tumor. It wasn’t just physically painful—it shook my identity, my confidence, my pace in life. But it also cracked something open in me. That season pushed me to go deeper—mentally, emotionally, spiritually.

During some of my lowest moments, I made a promise to myself: if I was going to get through this, I needed to strengthen my mind as much as my body. That’s when I immersed myself in learning. I studied the voices of people I admired from a distance—Tony Robbins, Oprah Winfrey, Napoleon Hill, Earl Nightingale, Les Brown. I didn’t just listen to what they taught—I absorbed how they overcame.

Through them, I learned the power of mindset. The gift of resilience. The fire that lives in you when you decide not to quit. That time didn’t just shape me. It forged me into the woman I was meant to become. It gave me the tools, the language, and the belief that even in the middle of your darkest hour—there’s purpose waiting to be discovered.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering is an interesting teacher. Most people try to avoid it—and I did too. Coming from poverty, growing up in a difficult environment, and later facing a four-year battle with a tumor, I used to think these things came to break me. But what I’ve learned—especially as I’ve grown older—is that there are some lessons, some truths, that only pain can teach you.

Success feels good, but it doesn’t shape you. Suffering does. It reveals who you are, what you believe, and how deep your roots go. It gives you clarity about what really matters. I’ve come to understand that the painful seasons—those moments when you’re unsure, uncomfortable, or on your knees—are sacred. They refine you. They prepare you. They launch you.

Even now, I still face challenges—some I never saw coming—but I’ve learned not to resist them. These moments are no longer setbacks; they’re setups for the next abundant chapter in my life.

So if I could offer any advice, it would be this: don’t shy away from the hard seasons. I know it’s easier said than done, but I promise—on the other side of struggle is strength you didn’t know you had. Let it grow you.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I am endlessly committed to the work of mindset—until my very last breath. In a world filled with constant noise, distraction, and comparison, too many people are forgetting who they really are. Social media, unrealistic expectations, and silent suffering have left many feeling lost, unworthy, and disconnected from their truth. I believe that’s one of the reasons we’re seeing such a rise in anxiety, depression, and even suicide.

My mission is to help people reclaim their mind. I’m faith-driven, yes—but I also understand the metaphysical. And the combination of both is what shaped my 5 Success Habits: journaling, affirmations, visualization, inspiration through prayer, and meditation. These five tools became my foundation during the darkest seasons of my life, and they continue to be my anchor.

If someone is drowning in pain and doesn’t know who they are on the inside, the world will try to define them—and that definition is usually rooted in fear, comparison, or emptiness. My mission is to interrupt that cycle.

This isn’t just a project. It’s a lifelong calling: to teach that when you learn to master your mindset, with faith as your compass, you can overcome anything life throws your way—and live from a place of truth, strength, and power.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What will you regret not doing?
I would regret not honoring my purpose. More than anything, I never want to look back and realize I played small to make others comfortable. I’ve lived enough life to know that trying to fit into boxes—especially ones built by corporate systems or societal expectations—only dims your light.

For a long time, I wrestled with being multidimensional in a world that rewards you for being linear. But I know now: I wasn’t created to fit into someone else’s definition of success. I was called to live fully, boldly, and truthfully in every part of who I am—speaker, author, leader, woman of faith.

My biggest regret would be betraying that truth out of fear—fear of opinions, fear of being misunderstood, or fear of not fitting the mold. I’ve made a promise to myself and to God: I won’t leave this earth with pieces of me still hidden. I want to live and lead in a way that gives others permission to do the same.
