Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Amy Solares of Wellington FL

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Amy Solares. Check out our conversation below.

Good morning Amy, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What’s the most surprising thing you’ve learned about your customers?
I would say most of my clients all share one thing in common, which is they all enjoy being part of the process and daily communication, with updated photos. They enjoy seeing the Art piece come to life.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a self-taught professional Portrait Artist and Muralist. I started my Art Journey in October of 2014, Unique Designs by ALee. I utilized FB platform to market myself. I have two decades of sales and telemarketing experience prior to me starting a FB business page in hopes of earning income, by creating wall murals. I started learning how to create Portrait drawings in Graphite pencils in 2017, by just practicing. I went from an Amateur Artist to Professional within a four year window, 2015-2018. I made a goal to create more Portrait Paintings in 2025, and I have! I even started my 1st Art series in May 2025. My main goal in my Art is persevering a moment with a medium and bringing it to life, magnifying the reference and making it felt through the eyes of my Art. I want emotion felt with every piece.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
My personal, on-going , relationship with God. Not having much of a support system, nor family in general. As an entrepreneur it’s so important to believe in ourselves and not let other opinions validate who we and what we can achieve. You can do all things through him.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Humbleness. Knowing life will always have ups and downs. And hards times truly make us stronger and appreciate the small things in life. Success isn’t always about wealth neither. Success to me is accomplishments and continuing to excel even with set backs.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What important truth do very few people agree with you on?
Serving others is so important. We live in a selfish world were we tend to only think of our own needs.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
That I loved deeply, everything living. My daughters were always my motivation in life. I was a giver, and not a taker. Beautiful person, mother and friend. I always stand in my truth, no matter what, and love conquers all things.
