Karolina Dolecki on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We recently had the chance to connect with Karolina Dolecki and have shared our conversation below.

Good morning Karolina , it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What is a normal day like for you right now?
My Day in a Nutshell

I’m a busy mom of five amazing kids — from college to my little one in VPK — and a dedicated business owner passionate about skin, wellness, longevity, and beauty.

I’m an early riser, usually up by 4 or 5 a.m. I start every morning with meditation or prayer, giving gratitude for the beautiful life I have and the people I love. I stretch, make my coffee, review my appointments and clients, and prepare for the day ahead.

By 6 a.m., I wake up my youngest, pack his lunch, and get him ready for school. My older kids are wonderfully independent — I’m so proud of them. Then it’s time to focus on work, collaborating with my amazing clients and partners, including renowned Biologique Recherche and Valmont in Naples. That’s truly my happy place — where my passion for beauty and wellness shines.

I usually finish work around 3 p.m., finally have my first meal of the day, then rush home to pick up my little one and cook dinner. Cooking from scratch every evening connects to my love of health, balance, and family.

Evenings are for winding down — checking on my kids, reading, and relaxing with my LED light therapy and wellness devices to calm my body and mind. My day usually ends around 8 or 9 p.m., ready to rest and recharge for another full, beautiful day.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My journey is truly unique. I’ve always been passionate about beauty and skin. I came to the United States when I was 19, back in 2000. Coming from another country and not speaking English wasn’t easy — but I had goals, passion, and a dream.

I became a mom to five amazing kids, and they taught me more than I could ever imagine — how to approach each day, how to stay patient, and how to keep chasing my dreams. They gave me more lessons about business and life than any book ever could.

In 2017, I opened my first med spa in Chicago. With no business experience, I learned everything the hard way — day by day, mistake by mistake. It was the best life school I could have asked for. Later, I became an ambassador for Biologique Recherche and Valmont, and eventually moved to Marco Island and Naples, which has been my home since 2020.

It was a big change — new life, new goals, and a deeper understanding of patience and humility. I learned how to discover, how to grow, and how to keep fighting for my dreams.

Today, I’m proud to own a spa in Naples, Florida, featuring Biologique Recherche and the Valmont brand. My approach to beauty and skincare is deeply personal — I work by appointment and referral only, focusing on one-on-one care. I love connecting with my clients, sharing my expertise, and creating customized, truly unique treatments.

My goal is to teach every client what I know — to help them glow from the inside out, feel confident in their skin, and embrace their natural beauty with the right products and knowledge.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
When I think about the first time I ever felt powerful, my mind goes back to when I was just five years old — a little girl in my grandma’s house. My grandma was an incredible woman. She passed away in 2013, but her spirit is still with me every single day.

She raised six children on her own — strong, kind, and full of grace. To me, she was the image of true power and positivity. I’ve spent my whole life trying to live by her values and follow her strength, even during the hardest moments of my own journey.

Even though she’s no longer here, she visits me often in my dreams. Her presence continues to remind me to stay strong, to never stop dreaming, and to never give up — no matter what.

She taught me the most important lesson: to be yourself, to be kind, to live by truth and faith, and to always be a good human.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There was a time in my life when I almost gave up. It was back in 2017, when I lived a beautiful, happy life in the suburbs of Chicago with my husband and our four little ones. And then, one morning, everything changed in a single second — when my husband took his own life.

It’s not an easy thing to talk about. For a long time, people avoided the subject, and so did I. But now, eight years later, I can finally speak about it openly — because that moment shaped everything that came after. My life changed. My kids’ lives changed. My family, my friends, my perspective on everything — all of it changed forever.

Back then, I didn’t know how to cope. I was vulnerable, broken, and searching for any way to survive the pain. There were moments when I was so close to giving up — on life, on love, on everything that mattered to me.

But I didn’t. I made it through. And today, I can say with all my heart — life is beautiful. It’s precious. It deserves to be cherished, every single moment of it. Because the truth is, you never know when everything can change in an instant. You never know when you’ll have to choose — between giving up or fighting for the light.

And I chose the light.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
These days, the beauty industry often sells illusions instead of honesty. We’re surrounded by filters, quick fixes, and promises of perfection that don’t exist. Brands push endless products, trends, and “must-haves,” convincing people that beauty is something they need to buy, not something they already have. The biggest lie is that beauty can be created overnight — that it’s found in a jar, an injection, or a filter. In reality, true beauty comes from understanding your skin, your body, and your emotions — from balance, consistency, and self-respect. The industry blinds people with marketing and comparison, when what we really need is education, authenticity, and self-acceptance.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What light inside you have you been dimming?
The light inside me that I sometimes try to dim is my confidence. There are moments when I doubt myself or worry about being ‘too much,’ but deep down, I know that strength and passion are part of who I am — and they deserve to shine.
