Johnnysice, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: Have you ever been glad you didn’t act fast?
Absolutely. This ties in great throughout the previous 4 years of my life. I’ve learned patience is not just a virtue, but a strategy, a skill set.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Johnnythajeweler the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Johnny’s Ice & Co., a growing jewelry brand proudly rooted in Florida. Now one of Floridas Renown Jewelry stores to date.
I launched Johnny’s Ice & Co. in Bunnell, Florida, where we opened our very first retail store. After building a strong foundation there, I took on the challenge of expanding into the Tampa market where voyage first reached out, we operated for a year and gained valuable experience in a larger, more competitive environment. Following that chapter, I made the strategic decision to return to Daytona Beach, where I went private for a year to restructure and elevate the brand. That journey led to the opening of our largest and most permanent storefront to date, located in the heart of Daytona Beach at 621 Beville Rd Daytona Beach Florida 32119— a true milestone in our growth.
Johnny’s Ice & Co. is more than just a jewelry store — it’s a creative house and cultural brand built on craftsmanship, innovation, and community. We specialize in custom chains, rings, watches, grillz, and other unique pieces, offering full personalization and premium service. What sets us apart is our ability to bring a customer’s vision to life with unmatched attention to detail and our Extended Coverage Program, which includes services like free cleanings, repairs, stone replacements, and access to exclusive VIP perks.
As we continue to grow, we’re actively working on projects that push the boundaries of modern retail — including a mobile shopping app, automated smart storefronts, and a global brand ambassador network. We’re also proud to serve luxury clientele through new partnerships, including our recent collaboration with Hilton Hotels.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
Without hesitation — God did. And Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, saw me clearly long before I had the strength, clarity, or even the belief in myself to walk in my purpose. Everything I’ve built, every decision I’ve made, every obstacle I’ve overcome — it’s all been guided by His hand. My story, and the story of Johnny’s Ice & Co., is rooted in faith. Without that spiritual foundation, none of this would exist.
There were times in my life when I felt misunderstood, underestimated, or even lost — but I always felt that God had a plan for me. He gave me a vision, even when I wasn’t ready to fully see it. Through prayer, surrender, and trust, I’ve been able to step into my calling not just as a business owner, but as a vessel for something much greater than myself.
One thing I’ve learned on this journey is that true strength doesn’t come from pride or aggression — it comes from love, compassion, and forgiveness. I choose peace over conflict. I choose to lead with kindness. And I believe that by showing love — to my team, my customers, and even to those who doubt or challenge me — I’m walking in the spirit that God intended.
I’m not perfect, and I never will be. But every day, I wake up with the goal to grow, serve, and reflect the grace that’s been given to me. That’s what keeps me motivated, and that’s what keeps Johnny’s Ice & Co. aligned with something bigger than just jewelry — we’re here to inspire, uplift, and lead with heart.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
“Everything you’re going through right now is shaping you into someone powerful, purposeful, and unbreakable — don’t give up.”
Growing up in Philadelphia, I moved from house to house, from family to family, and even spent time in the foster care system between the ages of 13 and 15. It wasn’t easy — far from it. There were moments when I felt like I didn’t belong anywhere, like I had to fight just to stay grounded and these are things you shouldn’t have to be worried about being a kid, you know?
But looking back now, I see how every single hardship, every loss, every uncomfortable transition — it all molded me into exactly who I needed to become. It taught me resilience, patience, emotional intelligence, and how to hustle with purpose. It gave me empathy. It gave me fire. It gave me vision.
I would tell that young version of myself: “You’re not broken — you’re being built.” And even though it might not make sense at the time, one day you’re going to understand why it had to happen the way it did. One day, you’re going to own your story and use it to inspire others who feel unseen or overlooked.
That’s what Johnny’s Ice & Co. stands for — it’s not just jewelry, it’s the proof that pain can become purpose, and that your past doesn’t define you… your persistence does.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
I admire people who lead with humility, kindness, and integrity — those who don’t rely on their position or influence to prove their worth, but rather on the way they treat others and stay true to their values.
In today’s world, it’s easy to get caught up chasing power, status, or material success. But the people I truly respect are those who remain grounded, who uplift others quietly, and who act with compassion even when no one is watching.
In business and life, I try to surround myself with people who value authenticity over authority. Those are the people who inspire me to be better, to lead with heart, and to build something that lasts.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
I believe the biggest misunderstanding about my legacy might be that it’s solely about success, status, or the material achievements of Johnny’s Ice & Co.i
While those things are visible, what truly defines my legacy runs much deeper — it’s about love and compassion for the people I choose to surround myself with, and a fierce passion for nurturing skills and talents with genuine intention.
We don’t believe success is something to be hoarded or kept from others. On the contrary, we want to open doors and create freedom for those with true character — people who lead with honesty, integrity, and respect. But when bad character shows itself, we make sure those individuals know exactly who helped them get where they are.
Our mission is to guide and empower those who move with authenticity and purpose, to lead them toward a life of freedom — freedom from fear, from limitation, and from negativity.
So the misunderstanding might come from those who only see the shine of the jewelry, the growth of the brand, or the influence on social media — but the heart of what I’m building is a culture of real people living real lives with intention and kindness. It is said Good fruit cannot come from a bad tree. Bad trees produce bad fruit, Good trees produce Good Fruit.
