Jessi Miller’s Stories, Lessons & Insights

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Jessi Miller. Check out our conversation below.

Jessi, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What do you think others are secretly struggling with—but never say?
I think others secretly struggle with finding their own identity. By this, I mean that some people feel like they have to mask themselves from becoming their true selves, depending on whoever else is around them. Instead of being who they truly want to be, people get comfortable and complacent. They could be avoiding change such as connecting with a different partner, avoiding conflict with their friends and family to keep the peace, or sticking with a job just because it is what they know instead of diving out of the box and trying something new. I believe people need to first work on healing themselves and their inner child before they can begin to do the real work of being confident in their true identity in adulthood.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi! I’m Jessi. I am a fourth generation psychic and a spiritual relationship coach. I started having visions as early as age 3 and I have been refining my talents ever since. Previously, I have worked with iHeartRadio and the Psychic Matchmaker on TLC, which is an internationally known program that has been running for many years. One of my favorite current projects is my podcast, The Psychic Connection with Deborah Graham, that I record with my mom. Readers can listen on all platforms to get a good idea of who I am and what I do in my sessions! My specialties include energy readings, psychic matchmaking, and intuitive and spiritual life coaching. I work with all clients to give them the tools to focus on their higher selves and work on connecting them with the love they must have for themselves. I see clients in person in office spaces in South Florida (Boca Raton) through Central Florida (Orlando). I also see clients around the globe through virtual readings.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My mom is the one person who saw me clearly before I could see myself. She knew about my talents at an early age and would always tell me it is okay to let those visions come through. She would remind me not to be afraid or fear those moments because she didn’t want me to block any connections I was forming. She knew my potential and could see me clearly for who I was. She would constantly sit with me and hold my hand, encouraging me to explore these connections. Before I even knew what was happening, my mom served as a guide for me and allowed me to build my self confidence. She showed me how to trust in myself and my visions and lean into my spiritual connection to be able to do the work I do now every day.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could say one thing to my younger self, I would want to say I am so proud of you for sticking through each and every hard day. The way you worked through every layer of discovering yourself allowed you to trust and believe in yourself and in the universe. If you weren’t able to trust the powers of the universe, you never would have evolved into the person you are today and you wouldn’t be capable of doing half of the things you do now.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief you used to hold tightly but now think was naive or wrong?
I used to believe that making others happy was the way to feel whole and complete. But, one day I had a wake up call and it sparked into my mind that if I do not make myself happy first and put myself on the front burner of my own life, I will only be living life for everyone else. The belief system should be that my happiness will beget happiness for those around me. Unless and until I am happy with myself and with my life, I will not be able to find happiness around me or help others on their journey of self-discovery.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
If I retired tomorrow, I think my clients would most miss the true one-on-one connections I have built with them. I focus my efforts on building such a strong bond with my clients that we are able to connect on a deep level. Even though the work I do is hard and emotional, my clients and I are still able to have a fun time together because of the deep relationship we have formed. I am able to go beneath the surface level and truly get to know my clients as individuals, revealing their layers and complexities that make them the person that they are. I think this connection is valuable and would be missed in my retirement.
