Jade & Preya, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
We love this question! Sometimes there is so much behind the scenes that people rarely understand unless in the shoes of that particular business. We are proud to have built a system with our artists, in a way that works for us, and for our artists. It shows respect and appreciation for the work the artists put in and I hope they can see that, if anyone!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
We are Bhavii Brides, a South Florida based Bridal company specializing in destination weddings! We work with brides from all over the world, in beautiful places all over the world. We are happy to celebrate the unions of each of our brides by providing luxury beauty services catered to what each occasion needs.
Give us your vision, and we will get you there! Our services aim to give you a one stop shop for all your beauty needs. We offer sari draping, hair, makeup, and henna services for brides, guests and family members, as well as garment steaming to wrinkle out the travel.
From white dress to red sari ceremonies, and everything in between.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
Bhavii Bride’s earliest memory was definitely feeling powerful! We felt strong, capable, and excited to begin a journey in the wedding industry on our own terms, bringing the respect and dedication to the craft of our bridal beauty services.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There was a time when South Florida flooded from heavy heavy rains and there was a bride to get ready! It felt nearly impossible to get to her, but we thought about how this is such a pivotal moment in someones life, one they will remember forever. This gives us the motivation to get creative and make things happen. We SHOW UP for our brides and always will! When there is a will, there is a way. And we found our way to her and she had an absolutely stunning ceremony.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. How do you differentiate between fads and real foundational shifts?
We believe that if it comes on quick and fast, it will leave in the same manner. We tell our brides when choosing their wedding beauty and outfits to look to the past. Find the things that stay true through the test of time, and mix these with your own unique modern flavor. Also think to the future and decide if you’d like looking back upon this or that style, etc.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Excuse our language but “Hell Yeah!” we believe doing everything to your best ability is what life is all about. Put in the work and even if it’s not praised, it is rewarded. Always.
