My journey began in Cuba 38 years ago. My passion for hairstyling began at a very early age. I relocated to the United States when I was 18 years old. Amidst the adversity of the pandemic, I took a leap of faith, transitioning from a stylist with 18 years of experience to a business owner.
Resilience and receptiveness to feedback propelled me forward, solidifying my reputation as a trusted hairstylist. To me, hair is more than just a feature. It’s a canvas for self-expression; I specialize in personalized styles that not only complement but amplify my client’s individual essence, resulting in hairstyles that exude confidence and personality.
Let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
It hasn’t been easy; I’ve encountered financial hurdles, market shifts, and balancing being a single mother, but with my strategic planning and dedication, constantly evolving and adapting to the ever-changing landscape of hairstyling.
I remain a dedicated student at my craft; I’ve been certified in multiple color systems. Staying abreast of the latest trends ensures my clients receive the best. Gratitude is at my core. The support of my clients has been instrumental in my journey.
We’ve been impressed with Beauty by Color, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart?
At my studio, clients embark on a journey of renewal and confidence guided by my passion for beauty. Each visit promises not just a haircut or color but a transformative experience.
I offer silent appointments where the clients just enjoy the essential oils and relax; I teach them a few meditation techniques to those who are interested, and sometimes we just laugh.
In general, it is really connecting with my clients that makes each visit unique and a transformative experience, leaving my clients feeling empowered and rejuvenated.

I hope my story serves as an inspiration to aspiring entrepreneurs and single mothers and continues to inspire and elevate spirits. I advocate for embracing change, cherishing diverse viewpoints, and cultivating a mindset that fuses confidence with humility.
Looking ahead, I plan to enhance my services, embracing industry trends and elevating the client’s experience, and a more holistic approach to beauty, making more time to teach kids yoga and meditation as well as volunteering with cancer patients and using my skills as a hairstylist to make a difference not just with a hairstyle but overall well being.
