Inspiring Conversations with Victor Fabian Martin of Sanalife.LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Victor Fabian Martin.

Hi Victor Fabian , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I was born and raised in Sancti Spíritus, Cuba, where I developed a deep sense of purpose from a young age. My early career began in education, having graduated from the Instituto Superior Pedagógico with a specialization in primary education. I always felt called to help others, but over time, that calling evolved from the classroom to the realm of healing.

After immigrating to the United States in 2009, I went through many challenges as I adjusted to a new life. I worked in different jobs to support myself and my family, including airport security, but I never lost sight of my desire to do meaningful work that aligned with who I truly am.

Eventually, I discovered massage therapy—and it changed everything. I trained rigorously and became licensed, specializing in deep tissue, sports massage, lymphatic drainage, and other therapeutic techniques. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with professional athletes, Hollywood artists, and countless individuals seeking relief and healing in Miami.

Later, I encountered Reiki and knew I had found something even deeper. I trained under renowned teachers, including Sensei Hyakuten Inamoto from Japan, and became a Shihan (Master) in Komyo ReikiDo. I founded Sanalife.LLC, my holistic wellness practice, where I now integrate massage therapy, Reiki healing, and education to support mind-body wellness.

Today, I not only offer private sessions and work with professional athletes but also teach Reiki courses in Spanish for the Latin community, helping others awaken their own healing abilities. I’ve written a book titled Sanando el Alma, and I continue to expand Sanalife with one mission in mind: to help people reconnect with their inner peace, relieve stress, and transform pain into purpose.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road definitely hasn’t been smooth, but every challenge has shaped the healer and person I am today.

Coming to the United States from Cuba was one of the biggest transitions of my life. I arrived with dreams, but also with the reality of starting over in a new country—facing language barriers, financial struggles, and the emotional weight of leaving behind my roots and loved ones.

At first, I worked jobs that had nothing to do with my true calling, just to survive. There were times when I questioned if I’d ever find my path. Studying massage therapy while working full-time wasn’t easy, and building a client base in such a competitive city like Miami took patience, persistence, and faith.

Another challenge was choosing to follow a more spiritual and holistic path. Integrating Reiki into my work wasn’t always understood or accepted, especially in more traditional environments. But I knew in my heart it was part of my mission.

Today, I continue to grow professionally. I’m currently preparing to travel to Turkey to train under Cengizhan Tatar, a seven-time world champion in massage therapy, to refine my skills and represent my practice in the World Championship of Massage. It’s a huge honor, and a reminder that despite the obstacles, with discipline and heart, dreams evolve into reality.
None of this would have been possible without my family’s support, especially my wife, who has been my greatest pillar and inspiration throughout this journey.

As you know, we’re big fans of Sanalife.LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Sanalife.LLC is a mobile holistic wellness practice based in Miami. I bring therapeutic massage, Reiki healing, and post-op lymphatic care directly to my clients’ homes, creating a personalized and peaceful healing experience in the comfort of their own space.

I specialize in deep tissue, sports massage, assistance stretching, neuromuscular massage, lymphatic drainage, and traditional Japanese Reiki (Komyo ReikiDo). What truly sets Sanalife apart is the integration of physical techniques with spiritual healing—offering sessions that address not only physical pain, but also emotional and energetic imbalances.

Through Sanalife Komyo ReikiDo, I also teach Reiki certification courses in Spanish for the Latin community, preserving the authentic lineage I received from Sensei Hyakuten Inamoto of Japan.

What I’m most proud of is how personal and transformative each session becomes. Sanalife is not a spa—it’s a healing journey. Whether you’re recovering after surgery, managing stress, or looking to reconnect with yourself, I come to you with presence, skill, and the intention to help you feel better in every way—body, mind, and soul.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something that often surprises people who know my work is that I originally started my career as a schoolteacher in Cuba. Before becoming a massage therapist and Reiki Shihan (Master), I dedicated myself to education and the development of young minds.

Another thing many people don’t know is how deeply spiritual and intentional my work really is. Behind every technique I use—whether it’s deep tissue, sport massage, or Reiki—there’s a story, a philosophy, and a personal transformation. Every session I offer is not just about physical relief, but about reconnecting with oneself on a deeper level.

And perhaps most surprising: I’m currently training to represent my work and my country in the World Championship of Massage, preparing under six-time world champion Cengizhan Tatar in Turkey. Even after years of experience, I’m still a student—always learning, always evolving.
