Inspiring Conversations with Taylor Visconti of Lina’s Batch Macarons

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Visconti.

Hi Taylor, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey started in late 2023 when my daughter was approaching her first birthday. I decided to bake cupcakes for her celebration, and what began as a simple project quickly sparked a passion for baking that I hadn’t experienced before.

Many people assume Lina’s Batch is named after me, but it’s actually named after my daughter, Angelina. What started as one special batch quickly turned into a passion and eventually a business. To this day, I like to say that her batch was the most special one I’ll ever make.

I’ve always loved macarons, so I decided to try making them for fun. With a background in science, I was fascinated by the precision and experimentation involved. Macarons are known for being challenging, and I became determined to master them.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Learning to master macarons came with plenty of failed batches and trial and error. Beyond baking, I’ve also had to learn marketing, sales, and all the other aspects of running a business while raising a young daughter.

One of the biggest lessons has been realizing that creating a great product is only part of the journey. Building a business requires persistence, adaptability, and a willingness to keep learning. Every challenge has helped me grow both as a baker and as an entrepreneur.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We specialize in handcrafted French macarons for weddings, corporate events, brand activations, and special celebrations throughout South Florida. Macarons are still a relatively niche dessert in our market, and there are very few local businesses focused on custom printed macarons and fully personalized designs. Whether it’s branded macarons, custom colors, logo printing, or elegant event favors, we love creating something truly unique for each client.

More than anything, we’re selling a luxury experience. I remember loving macarons as a little girl because they made any occasion feel instantly more special and sophisticated. That feeling still inspires our brand today. While we’ve recently expanded our offerings to include cake pops, pavlovas, and other dipped treats, macarons remain at the heart of what we do and what we’re known for.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something that may surprise people is that I have a degree in science, not pastry arts. I think that’s part of why I fell in love with macarons: the precision, experimentation, and problem-solving behind them. What started as a fun challenge quickly turned into a passion and eventually a business.
