Inspiring Conversations with Tanya Ceballos of Science of Our Wellness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tanya Ceballos.

Tanya, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
For 20 years, I held a dream close wanting to create something meaningful in the health and wellness space. But fear kept me from acting. Eventually, I overcame that fear, knowing I had a wealth of knowledge to share with the world. I took a leap, leaned into my Master’s in Holistic Nutrition, and launched my podcast. From there, Science of Our Wellness was born—a local podcast and magazine that brings evidence-based science together with holistic, whole-body care and then launched my nutrition consulting business.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No! Especially when you don’t have the complete understanding of structure and scaling. It’s been the biggest learning curve (more than my education lol) of my life. The struggle is real! Figuring out sales pitches, elevator pitches, sales sheets, building a website, creating forms for clients etc. The only thing that was easy was meeting people haha!

Science of Our Wellness is really a holistic wellness brand. We specialize in empowering people through education and practical wellness tools. I focus on personalized nutrition, integrative health practices, and a science-backed approach to balance and well-being. I want readers to know that we’re about sustainability, empowerment, and real, lasting change in their wellness journeys. Through my work, I’ve created a platform that not only educates but also amplifies voices within the health and wellness community. In addition to hosting meaningful conversations on my podcast, I publish a wellness magazine that provides visibility and exposure for professionals and businesses making an impact in the industry. Functional medicine physicians, wellness coaches, thought leaders, scientists, health-focused cafés, wellness centers, and other wellness-related organizations have the opportunity to be featured and share their expertise with a growing audience across Florida and beyond.

Beyond media and publishing, I also provide nutrition consulting services focused on gut health, reducing inflammation, and personalized nutritional guidance. My approach combines evidence-based nutrition with practical strategies that help individuals make sustainable lifestyle changes that support overall wellness.

My mission is to connect people with trusted wellness resources, elevate experts doing important work, and make health information more accessible to the communities we serve.

What sets Science of Our Wellness apart is that I’m bringing a local health and wellness podcast and a magazine to my community, but it’s all rooted in evidence-based science. While many other wellness platforms focus on inspiration or lifestyle, I ensure that every piece of advice and every feature is backed by solid scientific research, blended with whole-body care. I consistently say this platform is for the everyday person that doesn’t think about health all the time-I’m trying to bring education and knowledge in a practical sense, so health and wellness isn’t overwhelming.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
Being scared and wanting to do something business wise and finally executing it is a risk in itself. I took a bold pivot and kind of closed my eyes and said GO! I think I have always lived life like that in a sense because time is short-I’ve learned firsthand what happens when you procrastinate for 20 years. It was scary, but gave me the freedom to be creative and do something I whole-heartedly believe in. I am happy I took a bold pivot because health and wellness is me-my mind, body and soul.
