Inspiring Conversations with Severine Meimoun of Event More

Today we’d like to introduce you to Severine Meimoun.

Hi Severine, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My career began in France, where I spent almost twenty years in the Banking industry, holding different positions over the years, including sourcing and negotiating travel and event contracts for a big Group. It’s where I really learned the corporate world — how large organizations operate, how to manage expectations, and the importance of details and trust.

When I moved to Miami, I wanted to do something more creative and personal, something that combined that solid business background with my passion for connection. That’s how Event More started — a boutique agency with a European touch, focused on meaningful and well-designed experiences.

Since then, my work has taken me from Miami to New York, Los Angeles, and even Riyadh, collaborating with companies and organizations that believe, like I do, that events are about much more than logistics — they’re about people and the energy they create together.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all — it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. When I started Event More, I had just moved to a new country, and I didn’t have the professional network I had built back in France. I basically had to start from scratch — new market, new clients, new way of doing business.

There were moments of uncertainty and discouragement, especially in the beginning, but that’s also what pushed me to grow. I learned to adapt, to be creative, and to stay confident even when things were unpredictable.

What really helped me was staying focused on relationships. Every client, every partner, every project has taught me something. And little by little, that’s how everything started to come together.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Event More is a boutique event and destination management agency based in Miami. We create and coordinate corporate events, meetings, and incentive experiences across the U.S.

What makes us different is how personal we are. Every project starts with listening — understanding the people, the culture, and the purpose behind the event. I love designing experiences that feel meaningful, where every detail contributes to a real sense of connection. There’s a quote that I really like that says it all : “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” – Maya Angelou

We bring a European touch — a mix of precision, creativity, and warmth — and I think that’s what people remember. What makes me proud is that Event More has stayed true to what it was meant to be: a human-sized agency built on trust, relationships, and a genuine passion for bringing people together. And I don’t forget my wonderful network of vendors, without them, I wouldn’t be able to do anything !

And because Miami is wonderfully multicultural — we speak English, French, and español !

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happy is seeing people connect — when all the effort, planning, and little details come together and you can feel that energy in the room. Those are the moments that remind me why I do what I do.

Outside of work, I find happiness in movement and laughter — I’ve been doing Zumba for 20 years, and it’s still my favorite way to disconnect and recharge. I also love live music and singing, even though my voice is terrible — my kids can relate!

And beyond that, happiness for me is in the simple things — time with family, traveling (especially the National Parks), discovering new places, or sharing a good meal with friends. It’s about being present, grateful, and enjoying the moments that make life feel full.
