Today we’d like to introduce you to Princess Boyd
Hi Princess, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Where do I begin? I moved to Miami for college. I thought I wanted to be a
Pharmacist but God had other plans.
In July 2020 I became homeless. My ex told me I had till the end of the month to
move out. Didn’t have anywhere to go so my car was my living space. Eventually, I
was jumping between 2 houses and paying for hotels I didn’t have the money for. I
did this until June 2023 when I got my own apartment again. During that rough time,
I turned to TikTok. Initially, TikTok was used as a coping mechanism for heartbreak. It
helped me keep my mind off of my feelings. Although I was grieving I stayed
consistent. Everyone knows social media is a powerful thing. You never know who
might come across your videos or page. I didn’t want to continue living in my car,
living in hotels, jumping from two houses. I wanted my own again, something I gave
up for love. Never again lol!
In August of 2022, one of my videos went viral. I went to sleep not expecting
anything like I always do. I do my videos, be myself, and leave it at that. But the next
morning after I posted that video I had so many messages and notifications it was
wild! That video had 1 million views in a day. I was everywhere, Facebook, YouTube,
Instagram, and it was featured in the Shaderoom article. It was amazing! The love I
received was unreal. And after that video, everything changed for the good with the
help of God.
Fast forward to now, I boast a combined total of approximately 1 million followers on
Instagram and TikTok as an influencer. Knowing that you’ve impacted people in so
many ways than you can expect is a beautiful thing. I love it! That’s the best part to
me about being an influencer. Yes, the perks will come but I’m glad God used me
when he did cause although I was dark I was a light to so many and still is. My
platform has brought so many people together and because of my supporters I was
able to be nominated in two categories at the 2024 Cheer Choice Awards for Unity
Catalyst and Accessible Advocate. Of course, you have to expect the unexpected,
so I stay optimistic about if I win and if I don’t win. Regardless, I was just excited to
be nominated. Needless to say, I did win lol I brought home the unity catalyst!
Currently, I’m working on expanding my business as far as merch and things. Check
me out at www.peebeebabyyy.com. I have a lot of goals I want to achieve and I plan
on doing that with the help of God.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No road is smooth, It wouldn’t be life if it were. Every day is a challenge. Whether it’s
making an appointment on time or accomplishing one of your goals. I’m a firm
believer that everything happens for a reason and God makes no mistakes. I stand
on that. The struggles I had were mostly financial and figuring out my next move
because you can’t have a cause without an effect. I can’t get to point C without
passing A and B. In addition, being homeless and still wanting to pursue pharmacy
was a struggle. Every struggle has an outcome though, remember that. Just keep
God first.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about It’s PeeBee, Babyyy LLC?
I established my business, It’s PeeBee, Babyyy LLC in January of this year. Currently,
I’m a content creator, influencer, and option trader. I’m known for creating content
on TikTok. Because of this, my name has gotten so big and around that I’m just
grateful! I think what sets me apart from others is the person I am. My name on
TikTok is Different Breed but the handle is @peebeebabyyy. I came up with
‘Different Breed’ because I will always be my genuine self no matter how popular I
am or how much money I make. I want people to see that it’s okay to be yourself,
not what society wants you to be. It’s okay to show your personality through your
content and in everything you do. I can be serious, sexy, and goofy all in one video
lol. That’s just who I am.
When it comes to my brand, honestly, it’s what I am most proud of. I’m a big
procrastinator. I hesitated a lot at first because I was scared. I told myself, “dang hold
on things moving pretty fast here.” I don’t want to fail nor do I want to be in the
position I was in 4 years ago. Nobody wants to fail, though. Now that my mindset has
changed, I’m glad I experienced what I did from 2020 to now. I’m gratified to go
through trials and errors and learn the dos and don’ts in order to reach my desired
outcome.
Gesh, what do I want y’all to know about my brand? It’s welcoming, it’s evolving, and
it will be big one day. At It’s PeeBee, Babyyy LLC (www.peebeebabyyy.com),
customers can expect a diverse range of high-quality merchandise. The site offers a
variety of items that cater to various needs and preferences. With a focus on quality,
shoppers can trust that they are getting valuable merchandise for their money. I
always express that people are not obligated to buy anything, BUT come check me
out. You never know, I might be of help one day!
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Confidence! I know I have the capabilities to achieve my goals. Believing in yourself
and your abilities is the foundation of all other success-attaining personality traits.
Being confident and changing my mindset gave me the courage to realize a career
in pharmacy wasn’t it and to pursue my passion and try new things. I think that’s a
problem with a lot of people. They don’t feel like they can do it or they doubt
themselves. Surround yourself with people that are already where you want to be,
not people who are not. Moreover, authenticity is important. Staying true to yourself
no matter where you are in life! Keeping Faith! God will never leave you!
