Today we’d like to introduce you to Nadia Jimenez.
Hi Nadia, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started Counsel NJ Solutions in north New Jersey. That practice is currently open and then I opened a Counsel NJ Solutions in South Florida in 2014 and in 2022 I opened a group practice called The Miranda Healing Group. We’re currently serving over 250 community members a month.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of the greatest challenges in our journey came during the COVID-19 pandemic. The need for mental health support grew dramatically as people faced isolation, fear, grief, and overwhelming uncertainty. During this time, we made the decision to remain open and accessible, ensuring that individuals and families continued to have a safe place to turn. For many clients, therapy became more than just support for their mental health — it was sometimes the only reason they left their homes, offering connection, structure, and hope during an incredibly difficult period.
The overwhelming rise in mental health needs during the pandemic ultimately shaped the next chapter of our story. It was this influx of individuals seeking care that led to the expansion of our services and the birth of The Miranda Healing Group as a group practice, allowing us to reach more people and deepen our impact when support was needed most.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love Miami for the lifestyle it makes possible year-round. The outdoor living — sunshine, water, and time outside with family and friends — adds so much to everyday life. The city’s cultural diversity brings together incredible traditions, languages, and perspectives, creating a vibrant energy. And the food and nightlife are unmatched, with amazing international cuisine and always something exciting to experience. Miami feels alive, dynamic, and full of flavor, and that’s what I appreciate most.
Honestly, the only thing I don’t love about Miami is hurricane season — the stress and uncertainty that comes with storms. Other than that, it truly feels like paradise.
