Inspiring Conversations with Myles Oliva of BowaStudios

Today we’d like to introduce you to Myles Oliva.

Myles Oliva

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Capturing stories has always been a passion of mine since I can remember whether it was capturing a vacation going to a conference with my family, or just being involved in the family business I’ve always been behind a lens. Evoking emotion and feeling your audience react is priceless to me.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has never been a smooth road to everything that I have accomplished so far!! I’ve almost sold all my camera gear a couple of times it’s a lot of struggles a lot of loneliness, a lot of no’s, lots of different personalities, worrying about overheads and equipment and team and etc., and everything else that goes with doing what I do but still loving what I do.

As you know, we’re big fans of BOWastudios. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
So there there’s a lot of competitors in South Florida. They have great talent, but I think what makes me different than almost all of them is the fact that I am backed up by a corporate company and corporate structures, corporate processes, and strategies that allow us to tap into the market and give an excellent product of Video Content which is very needed in today’s marketing strategies for social media and traditional media.

Also, I feel that part of what makes us different at BOWastudios is that yes we can produce any video content and it’s gonna be creative. It’s gonna be professional it’s gonna be everything that you need, but providing it within means or at least within phases so that you can accomplish whatever your vision is for your company and if you’re not clear on your vision, then we help you get clear with your vision as well because of the expertise of our team.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favorite childhood memories is every school break. We had my parents always had activities for us whether it was having fun creating a family project and filming it, or traveling around the country in the family RV working and filming. We also had a three-year-long online reality show that really taught us a lot and captured a lot of our lives.
