Today we’d like to introduce you to Luciana Romagnoli.
Hi Luciana, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I was born and raised in Montevideo, Uruguay, and have been living in Miami for 21 years. My parents are first-generation immigrants who hustled and paved the way for my siblings and me to have a better future. I’ve been in the banking field for over ten years.
With a major in Finance, I always thought that staying in corporate would be the path for me, but eventually, everything changed. My father’s been an entrepreneur his whole life and my mom has always had that go-getter mindset, so it wasn’t long throughout my journey that I knew I wanted to build something of my own instead of having to work for somebody else.
It all started about 5 years ago when I created my Poshmark account. Who knew selling clothes I hadn’t worn in a while would bring me so much joy! The sales were coming in and that’s when my internal lighting bulb turned on—I knew I wanted to open an online boutique.
I did my research and looked up YouTube videos for information on how to start one. I built my website, found suppliers, purchased a backdrop, and started shooting content in my parent’s living room. I would take pictures in the mirror with my phone but didn’t have the right lighting. The pictures were of such poor quality (to this day, I don’t know how I sold anything during that time frame!), but I made no excuses and kept pushing.
Fast forward to now, I was able to leave the corporate world and focus solely on my passion—Elite Styles Boutique. I now have a local warehouse where I shoot my content, store my inventory, and ship out orders. It hasn’t been easy, but I would do it all over again. I’m excited to see what the future holds.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s been a challenging road especially once Covid hit. The suppliers I had overseas shut down and it was a struggle to find any good vendor fully functioning.
During this time, I took about a year off and even thought about closing my boutique, but my passion led me to keep going. My fellow entrepreneurs know that the journey to running your own business is a rollercoaster.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
As of now, I plan on keeping Elite Styles Boutique fully online and focusing on expanding my team, as well as inventory and content creation.
There are many things I’m already working on behind the scenes, however, within the next 5-10 years Elite Styles Boutique will be a very well-known and respected brand worldwide. I’m excited for everyone to experience the brand and high-quality clothing we offer.
