Hi La Fuente, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
La Fuente Antojitos was born from our love for Colombian flavors and our passion for sharing a piece of our culture with the community. We are a family of three .Orlando, Carol, and Mariana — originally from Bogotá, Colombia, who started this journey with the dream of bringing authentic Colombian treats to South Florida.
Our business began growing at the Yellow Green Farmers Market, where we connected with people who deeply missed traditional Colombian desserts and snacks like merengón, Colombian fruit salad, and obleas. Many of our customers tell us that after trying our products, they feel transported back to Colombia, bringing back memories, flavors, and moments from home.
Through social media, local events, and the support of our community, La Fuente Antojitos continued to grow from a small family idea into a beloved local business. With hard work, dedication, and passion, we are proud to now be preparing to open our second location in Sunrise.
We are so grateful for all the support and would love to welcome everyone to visit us at both of our locations, and follow us on social media to experience a little taste of Colombia with us.
Today, our goal remains the same as when we started: to create a place where people can experience the authentic taste of Colombia and feel a little closer to home with every dessert and every bite.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been an easy road. Like any small business, we have faced many challenges and difficult moments along the way. We truly believe that nothing happens overnight and that growth requires consistency, enthusiasm, dedication, responsibility, and most importantly, a true passion for what you do.
There have been years of hard work, long days, and constant learning, but every sacrifice has been worth it when we see the support from our community and how people connect with our products and our story. That is what continues to motivate us to keep growing and always give our best.

La Fuente Antojitos is a family-owned Colombian dessert and snack business focused on bringing authentic Colombian flavors to our community. We specialize in traditional treats like merengón, obleas, Colombian fruit salad, fresas con crema, and other antojitos that many people grew up enjoying in Colombia.
What sets us apart is our focus on authenticity, quality, and presentation. We want every customer to experience the true flavors of Colombia and feel a sense of nostalgia and connection through our products. Many customers tell us that trying our desserts brings back memories of home and family moments, which means a lot to us.
We are also proud of the community we have built through social media, local events, and our growth at the Yellow Green Farmers Market. As a brand, we are most proud of staying true to our culture while continuing to grow and preparing to open our second location in Sunrise.
Above all, we want people to know that everything we do is made with passion, dedication, and love for Colombian culture.
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
One of our favorite childhood memories is from weekends in Colombia, when it was very common to see people selling traditional Colombian desserts and snacks from the trunks of Renault 4s and Renault 12s on the side of the road. For many Colombians, those cars and those desserts bring back a very nostalgic feeling and special memories from childhood.
