Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevin Bastidas.
Hi Kevin, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve always had an interest in skincare from a young age. I remember saving money just to visit an esthetician in my city and get facial treatments, it was something i really enjoyed.
As I got older, I considered going to college, but I felt a bit lost and unsure of what path I truly wanted and around that same time, I was struggling with my own skin and didn’t fully understand what it was happened to my skin.
Everything changed when i was scrolling instagram and i saw an esthetics program. From that moment, things started to make sense for me. I started esthetics school and also i took the initiative to educate myself outside of school, learning as much as I could to better understand skin and how to treat it the right way.
as my knowledge grew, so did my passion. I became passionate about helping others understand their skin and guiding them toward real and amazing results.
Today, I’ve built my own skincare studio in Pembroke Pines, where I focus on treating skin concerns and promoting healthy, balanced skin.
My goal is not only to improve my clients skin but also to help them feel confident and comfortable in it. Seeing their progress and happiness is what continues to motivate me every day on this journey.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I feel like success takes time, patience and a lot of consistency. Of course there have been moments where i feel overwhelmed and a little down while growing my business but i believe in mindset is everything. I always try to stay positive and trust the process. When you do everything with good intentions and hard work everything comes in a good way.
As you know, we’re big fans of Skins by Kev. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My business is centered around helping people feel confident and iconic in their skin.
I’m an acne expert and i also specialize in customized skincare treatments, facials, skin consultations and the good thing is every treatment is tailored to each person needs.
What sets me apart is my focus on education and personalization on my treatments. I don’t believe in one treatment fitting all of my customers i believe every treatment should be personalized and designed based your skin needs, lifestyle and goals. I also make sure my clients understand their skin and how to take care of it at home, because real results come from both professional treatments and consistency outside my treatment room.
I want to people know that my brand is built on personal, real results and a lot of education. I love to take a good care of every person that comes to my suite!
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Oh yes! since the beginning of my career, i feel like i’ve taking a major risk specially when i decided to open my first suite without having a lot of clientele. It was definitely scary because i was staring from zero, but i knew that i wanted to take that risk in order to build a loyal
clientele base and allow people to truly believe in what i do.
Looking back im very glad that i took that risk because i feel like it helped me grow and i really do consider myself as a risk taker person. of course i always think a lot before making a decision, but i also believe that success comes from stepping outside of your comfort zone.
