Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelly Doyle.
Hi Kelly, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
The concept of Thermae Retreat was born in 2012 and came from an experience that shifted my perception of how I walked through this world and I felt everyone needed to have the opportunity to find their shift within this type of experience. It was simply to be still. I used the saunas as a gateway to teach our guests and members how to do this. They would realize that in the Stillness is where you find clarity. In presence is where you find peace. I watched how people entered our doors and how they exited . You could see a significant change in how they now moved Within the space . I lost track of how many times I stood in a sauna while someone cried and spoke . They just needed a quiet space where they felt safe to allow themselves to open up and release whatever they were holding inside. You could say that the PEMS is an evolution of the concept. At this sanctuary our focus is Awakening through conscious learning, community and of course stillness. Here we also focus on the youth, the family as a whole. The children I see today are so vibrant, and smart, and curious. So much of that has been extinguished in adults. We support microschools in our area and become part of their curriculum adding classes such as gardening, hand sewing, Tai Chi and breath work. They come to us when we’re closed or earlier in the morning before we get busy. The rest of the day our focus is on the adults. We are adding the crafts into what we offer. Basket weaving, block printing, paper making, and all these amazing art forms that we’ve lost. It will allow adults to get creative, to play and become curious again. We help our members and guests to release emotions that no longer serve them such as anger or lack. Then we show them how to fill that space with what does, such as Joy, trust and love. We work with top therapists, sound Alchemists, Energy Healers and doctors of Psychiatry and natural medicine and pull science together with spirituality, as they really are one in the same. Everyone works towards the same goal but offers a different way to get there. And each person that walks through our doors can decide what resonates with them, what calls to them. Everything is intuitive, natural, so it feels good and light. It is a beautiful time to be alive with all that is still yet to come. The world is going to be a very different place as we move forward and these powerful young people help to make it all come to fruition. The old ways of doing business, educating children and taking care of our health is slowly moving towards a way that benefits Humanity and this amazing planet we live on. It’s a time of collaboration and freedom and community and self. I am very grateful.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Trust. Trusting that everything will be there when I need it. Trusting that everything happens in Divine time. Trusting that everything happens for the highest good. There have been beautiful lessons along the way, that’s still continue today.

I’ve already given a good image of who and what we are. As far as our services we also offer to our members and our day member guests massage therapy and body and skin care. We have a hot stone barrel Finnish sauna and infrared saunas. A cold plunge tub and art Barn, a quiet room and sound room and a beautiful garden to relax in. Indoor and outdoor rinsing showers and we offer herbal tea and fresh filtered water.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I believe everything happens for a reason, I’m not quite sure we’re luck falls into that. 🙂
