Inspiring Conversations with Karen Guzik of Ceramic Art Cafe

Today we’d like to introduce you to Karen Guzik.

Hi Karen, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started my first ceramic studio back in California in October 2019, 5 months later was forced to close due to the lock downs. 4 months later I reopened but people weren’t ready to be back at malls in California. Fast forward one year later, not only didn’t my store take off, but I also opened a second location.

Now here in Fort Lauderdale, my business will complete one year in May and is on a strong upward trajectory, with measurable improvements each month.

Looking forward to what’s ahead.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The mall where my store is located got sold and the public is under the idea that the new owners will demolish it.

New owners say they will not demolish the mall but construct a few building surrounding it.

Can’t wait until they notify the public about their approved pans.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Ceramic Art Cafe?
