Hi Kadina, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
As a kid, I remembered I always wanted to have my own line it was a dream of mine until I started to have to learn how to navigate through school, work, transitions, etc.
I quickly lost touch with that dream. It wasn’t till 2021 and about 17 different jobs/careers later, lol. I rediscovered my passion for how I wanted to create own my brand.
One accessory I love the most is sunglasses and living in Florida aka the sunshine state I figured it was the best duo and that’s how Envymeshades was created!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Not always but I think struggle comes with anything new you’re trying to learn or build.
I had many setbacks trying to create and put everything together for envymeshades but each time an obstacle came in my way it just showed me how much more I wanted it & still do till this day.

So Envymeshades is an up-and-coming online sunglass boutique, we currently have our first summer collection up on our website right now where you can choose up to 3 different shades and each pair comes with a free clear lip gloss!
Also, each pair of sunglasses comes with a velvet pouch that can be used as a microfiber cloth and our shades have been tested for impact resistance.
I am so proud of Envymeshades because I launched this with good intentions of wanting an inclusive brand so everyone can feel like that “it girl” and I know we will grow into a beautiful brand creating a beautiful community.
We’d love to hear what you think about risk-taking.
Yes, I have taken major risks before, I took the risk of not going back into regular employment and just focusing on launching envymeshades and trying to learn how to create content and how the algorithms work on different social media apps.
It was honestly scary but it was needed because I truly felt like if I have never taken that leap then this vision will always be on the back burner because of the fear, limiting beliefs, and just overall life just happening.
We need risk to prove to ourselves that we can do it no matter how scary or impossible it seems & to gain the confidence and learning experience that comes with that said risk.
