Jaklin, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey started in hospitality more than 10 years ago, working closely with hotels and service-driven businesses and seeing firsthand how much great work goes unnoticed simply because of poor digital visibility. I was always drawn to the intersection of operations, guest experience, and growth, and over time, I became deeply interested in how online discovery shapes real-world decisions.
That curiosity eventually led me to build Mission Morph. What began as hands-on consulting evolved into a structured approach to Google Maps and Search visibility tailored specifically for hospitality and local service brands. A major milestone for me personally was speaking at the Independent Hotel Show 2025, where I shared insights on reducing OTA dependency and driving direct bookings through Google optimization. Today, I continue to work closely with franchise and independently operated properties under global hotel brands, as well as independent hotels, restaurants, and beauty businesses, particularly across Miami and Texas, helping them grow with intention and long-term strategy.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of the biggest challenges was starting over in a new country. Moving from Bulgaria to the United States meant rebuilding everything from scratch – network, credibility, and professional reputation. There was no shortcut. Every relationship, partnership, and opportunity had to be earned through consistency, results, and trust.
Breaking into the U.S. hospitality market, especially in competitive cities like Miami, also meant learning a new business culture while staying confident in my expertise. Convincing established brands to trust a new name required patience and resilience, particularly when challenging familiar models like heavy OTA dependency.
Seeing that journey come full circle at the Independent Hotel Show 2025, where my work and expertise were recognized, and I had the opportunity to speak, was a defining moment. It confirmed that the work, the persistence, and the long-term vision were worth it. Those early challenges didn’t just shape the business; they shaped me as a founder.
