Hi Jackie, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
During COVID, like so many others, I found myself at a crossroads after losing one of my part-time jobs. It made me pause and really think about what would make me genuinely happy and fulfilled. I’ve always had a natural talent for organizing and a deep passion for helping people, so I decided to combine the two — and that’s how Chaos Controlled was born.
What started as an idea to bring order and calm to people’s lives quickly grew into something much bigger. I began helping busy moms and families transform their spaces, and I saw firsthand how creating organized systems could reduce stress and make everyday life flow more smoothly. It’s been so rewarding to turn something I love into a business that makes a real difference for others.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like many small business owners, I’ve faced some unexpected personal challenges that forced me to pause and rebuild. There was a period where life threw some major curveballs my way, and I had to step back to focus on my family and my own well-being. While it was a difficult time, it also gave me a new perspective and a deeper sense of purpose. Coming back to Chaos Controlled after that season reminded me why I started — to help others find calm and clarity even in the midst of chaos. Those experiences made me stronger, more empathetic, and more determined to grow both personally and professionally.

How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happy is seeing the relief and joy on a client’s face when their space is finally organized and peaceful. There’s something so magical about knowing I’ve helped someone reclaim control of their home and often, their mindset too. I love seeing how a simplified space can bring calm, confidence, and freedom to people’s lives. Helping others feel lighter and more at ease reminds me every day that I’m doing exactly what I’m meant to do. Getting hugs from complete strangers is my favorite part.
