Our journey began in 2017 when we entered the short-term rental market with our investment properties.
Recognizing the strong potential in Miami’s hospitality and real estate sectors, we officially founded IMD Miami in early 2019 as a boutique short-term rental management company.
Less than a year later, the pandemic presented unprecendented challenges, but it also became a pivotal moment for our growth. As travel trends shifted, we adapted quickly leveraging our hands-on management style, strategic pricing, and personalized guest experience to meet the rising demand for high-quality short-term stays in Miami.
Today, we manage more than 60 properties across Miami and Miami Beach, providing full-service for both investors and guests. Our approach combines smart technology, local market expertise, and a performance-driven mindset to maximize occupancy rates and returns.
Looking ahead, we anticipate 30% growth by 2026, supported by new real estate developments specifically designed for the short-term rental market. Our focus remains same: creating exceptional guest experiences while delivering strong, sustainable results for our partner property owners.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has certainly not been a smooth road. Like many in the hospitality and short-term rental industry, we faced significant challenges during the pandemic. The sudden wave of cancellations, reimbursements, travel restrictions, and uncertainty tested our resilience and adaptability. There were moments when the outlook seemed uncertain, but through determination, teamwork, and a focus on long-term goals; we managed to overcome those obstacles.
Today, we are proud and grateful how far we’ve come.
Beyond the pandemic, operating in the short-term rental industry for over seven years, has brought its share of challenges from unexpected operational issues to the complexities of managing guest expectations and maintaning property standards. However; our commitment to excellence, our dedicated team, and our shared passion for hospitality have carried us through every difficulty.
This journey has taught us invaluable lessons about perseverance and growth. We continue to evolve every day, striving to improve our operations and enhance the experiences of both our guests and our partners. For us, it’s a continuous journey of learning and becoming better at what we do.

What I love most about Miami is its vibrant energy and unique atmosphere. The city offers a perfect blend of culture, creativity, and sophistication from its world-class culinary scene and luxury retail experiences to its thriving art, music, and social life. Miami is full of color and character; every neighborhood has its own personality. The natural beauty is unmatched with stunning beaches, endless palm trees, and breathtaking sunrises and sunsets that make every day feel like a postcard moment. It’s a young, growing, and dynamic city that never stops inspiring us. We feel truly fortunate to live and work in such a paradise with year-round sunshine and incredible lifestyle.
As for the challenges, like any major city, Miami faces issues such as rising living costs and occasional concerns about safety. The humidity can also be a bit intense at times. However, these are small trade-offs compared to the endless opportunities and quality of life Miami offers. Overall, it’s a city we’re deeply proud to call home.
