Today we’d like to introduce you to Dmitriy Sukhov.

Hi Dmitriy, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born in Kazakhstan and later spent many years living in Toronto, Canada. Like many immigrants, I learned early that success comes from hard work, persistence, and being willing to start from the bottom and earn every opportunity.

For years, I worked in the appliance repair industry, gaining hands-on experience with everything from refrigerators and freezers to high-end luxury appliances. While I enjoyed the technical side of the business, I noticed that many customers were frustrated with unreliable service, poor communication, and long wait times. I believed there was a better way to serve people.

In 2025, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life and moved to South Florida to build something of my own. I wasn’t coming with a large team or investors. I was starting from scratch in a new market, relying on my experience, work ethic, and determination.

That’s how Express Xpert Appliance Repair was born.

My vision was simple: provide honest, dependable appliance repair with fast response times and treat every customer the way I would want my own family to be treated. From day one, I focused on transparency, professionalism, and building trust rather than simply completing service calls.

The early days weren’t easy. Building a reputation in a competitive market takes time. Every review had to be earned, every customer had to be taken care of, and every challenge became a learning opportunity. But those efforts paid off. Today, Express Xpert serves homeowners throughout South Florida, helping families get their appliances back up and running while delivering the kind of customer service that has become increasingly rare.

What makes this journey especially meaningful to me is that it represents more than building a business. It’s proof that with determination, consistency, and a commitment to helping people, you can create opportunities regardless of where you start.

Today, we’re continuing to grow, expand our service area, invest in technology, and improve the customer experience. But at the core, our mission remains exactly the same as it was on day one: provide reliable service, solve problems, and treat every customer with honesty and respect.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Absolutely not. Like most entrepreneurial journeys, there were plenty of challenges along the way.

One of the biggest challenges was starting over in a completely new market. After spending years building experience in the appliance repair industry, I moved to South Florida and had to establish myself from scratch. Nobody knew my company, I didn’t have a large customer base, and every opportunity had to be earned.

In the beginning, I was doing everything myself—taking customer calls, scheduling appointments, diagnosing appliances, ordering parts, handling marketing, and managing the day-to-day operations of the business. There were many long days and late nights, especially when trying to balance delivering excellent service while also growing the company.

Another challenge was earning trust. When you’re a new business, customers don’t automatically know who you are or what kind of service they’ll receive. We had to prove ourselves one customer at a time. Every review, every referral, and every repeat customer represented trust that had been earned through hard work and consistency.

The appliance repair industry itself is also constantly evolving. New appliances are becoming more advanced, with sophisticated electronics, smart technology, and complex diagnostic systems. Staying ahead requires continuous learning, training, and adapting to new technologies.

Despite those challenges, I believe the difficult moments helped shape the company into what it is today. They taught me resilience, patience, and the importance of always putting customers first. Looking back, I wouldn’t change those experiences because they forced me to grow both as a business owner and as a person.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that success rarely happens overnight. It’s built through consistency, showing up every day, solving problems, and continuing to move forward even when things don’t go as planned.

Express Xpert Appliance Repair is a South Florida-based appliance repair company focused on helping homeowners get their appliances back up and running quickly, professionally, and without unnecessary stress. We service a wide range of residential appliances, including refrigerators, freezers, ice makers, wine coolers, washers, dryers, ovens, ranges, cooktops, dishwashers, and more.

What makes us different is our approach to customer service. Many people only think about appliance repair when something breaks, and that’s usually during a stressful situation. A refrigerator stops cooling, a washer won’t drain, or an oven fails right before an important family gathering. Our goal is not only to fix the appliance but also to make the entire experience as smooth and transparent as possible.

We have built our reputation around fast response times, honest communication, and quality workmanship. We believe customers deserve clear explanations, fair recommendations, and repairs that are done correctly the first time. We never want customers to feel pressured or confused about the process.

One area where we’ve developed particular expertise is diagnosing complex refrigeration systems and high-end appliances. Today’s appliances are more advanced than ever, and successful repairs require a combination of technical knowledge, experience, and ongoing education. We invest heavily in staying current with new technologies so we can continue providing effective solutions for our customers.

Brand-wise, what I’m most proud of is the trust we’ve built. Every positive review, referral, and repeat customer represents someone who trusted us in their home and felt we delivered on our promises. That trust wasn’t created through advertising alone—it was earned through consistent service and genuine care for our customers.

At Express Xpert, we view ourselves as more than a repair company. We’re a local business committed to helping families protect the appliances they rely on every day. Whether it’s a refrigerator full of groceries, a washer serving a busy household, or a specialty appliance in a luxury home, we understand the importance of getting things working again quickly and correctly.

As we continue to grow throughout South Florida, our mission remains simple: deliver dependable service, provide lasting solutions, and treat every customer with honesty, professionalism, and respect. Those values have guided us from day one and continue to define who we are today.

What I love most about Miami is its energy and diversity. It’s a city where people from all over the world come to build something, whether that’s a business, a career, or a new life. As an entrepreneur, that mindset is incredibly inspiring. There’s a strong culture of ambition here, and you can feel that people are constantly striving to grow and create opportunities.

I also appreciate how international Miami is. Coming from a background that includes living in different countries and cultures, I’ve always enjoyed meeting people with unique stories and perspectives. In Miami, it’s completely normal to interact with people from dozens of different backgrounds in a single day. That diversity makes the city vibrant, dynamic, and full of opportunity.

From a business perspective, South Florida is an exciting place to operate. The population continues to grow, new families are moving here, and there is a strong sense of momentum throughout the region. It’s a place where hard work and good service can still make a real difference.

If I had to mention one challenge, it would probably be the pace of growth. Miami is expanding rapidly, which creates opportunities, but it also puts pressure on traffic, infrastructure, and affordability. Like many growing cities, balancing continued development with quality of life is an ongoing challenge.

That said, I believe the positives far outweigh the negatives. Miami has given me the opportunity to build a business, connect with incredible people, and pursue goals that might have been much harder to achieve elsewhere. For that reason, I’m grateful to call South Florida home.
