Inspiring Conversations with Desiree Brown of Desire Beauty Boutique Inc

Today we’d like to introduce you to Desiree Brown.

Hi Desiree, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I became a Medical Aesthetician and a cosmetologist over 20 years ago. I’ve always been drawn to beauty and what we now refer to as wellness.
Not long after I completed my AS in Natural Health Sciences and then my cosmetology license, I had a baby girl. Born weighing 1lb at 25 weeks.
I was advised to stay home with her due to her health challenges and I would have to say this new journey propelled me into a deep dive into wellness completely for her health.

Eight years later I had another baby girl weighing just a little over 1lb at 28weeks. Very minimal health issues but by now I’m a full time single stay at home mom who’s homeschooled and homemaking.

One day I decided it was time for a change, and after some research and deep thought, I decided to have a mini mommy makeover and had lipo 360.

This is the point when everything changed. When I didn’t receive, what I now know is proper post op care, I went digging for information when I came across celebrity massage therapist Josie Rushing. I combed through her social media, took as many free master classes as I could because I was determined to learn all that I could to help me on this journey of recovery.

What I found was far greater a reward when I decided to become one of her certified students.

After completing her courses for Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage in body, face, and post op care, I found my self starting a business out of thin air. No clients no capital just a desire to help other women.

Soon after I became Diamond Certified (advanced) and now two years later I received the top 5 award of excellence in Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage.

What I thought was going to be me helping women post op and for aesthetic results, has turned into a life changing experience for me to be able to serve women in a far greater capacity than I could ever have imagined. The stories and experiences I’ve witnessed have far surpassed and exceeded my expectations when I first set out on this journey and I feel this is just the beginning.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No. It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I was so eager to help and get started I didn’t do any research nor did I solicit any advance.
Although I should have, and may have been better off initially. I’m grateful for the lessons I’ve learned and continue to learn along the way.
My biggest struggles have revolved around marketing myself properly to the right audience locally. Which in turn, has me on a bit of a roller coaster when it comes to steady growth.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
As a fairly new and small organization, you should know that I aim to provide the best in quality services and any products that I use or recommend to my clients and future clients. I’d like to continue to provide not just a service but an experience.

I specialize in Authentic Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage, for the body, face, and post-op, body contour and coming soon facial services.

What sets me apart is that I provide a service that is unique and proprietary when it comes to Authentic Brazilian Lymphatic. It’s not just a massage or even a luxury treatment for the elite (although its popularity is spreading like wildfire). It’s a sequential technique that relies on understanding the lymphatic system as it directly relates to our bodies and the way we feel and function for longevity from the inside out. The immediate aesthetic results are just a perk 😉

I’m most proud of my personal growth on this journey. It’s not yet complete, but as a brand it’s dear to me as it directly plays on my name Desiree Brown. The boutique in the name suggests the culmination of all of my passions and how I’d like to show up for my clients as it relates to beauty and wellness..

As I continue to grow as a brand, I’d like readers to know that where I am now is not the end. I have plans and goals for expansion when it comes to space and services I offer and will offer in the future.
I am open to travel within reason and would be happy to have a part time by appointment only clientele based in South Florida.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to share. This is something
I could never have imagined being the full circle of my passion. It completes it.
