Today we’d like to introduce you to Carol Cassis-mcmillan
Hi Carol, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
With 18 years of experience in Miami’s luxury real estate market, I’ve had the privilege of selling some of the city’s most prestigious properties, including the record-breaking sale of Penthouse 1 at Cipriani Residences Miami, which set the highest price per square foot on the Miami mainland. In 2017, my partner Stephan Burke and I made history by pioneering the first wallet-to-wallet cryptocurrency real estate transaction in the U.S., and we also achieved the highest Bitcoin single-family sale worldwide at $6.05 million.
As co-leader of the Cassis Burke Collection with Stephan Burke, we proudly work in partnership with Christie’s Real Estate and their auction house. Our team was recently honored with the “Team of the Year 2024” award by Christie’s Real Estate, and we are part of the prestigious Christie’s Master Circle, a group reserved for the top 300 agents worldwide. My real estate career began when I became a mother to my amazing son, Alex, who is now 21 years old. With the unwavering support of my husband Michael, I’ve built a deeply fulfilling career. Before real estate, I worked as a reporter and TV producer at Univision, where I produced for Sábado Gigante, a show that captivated an audience of 80 million viewers.
Outside of real estate, I love traveling to meet clients across the globe—from Istanbul to São Paulo, Monaco to Santiago, Chile. I’m also passionate about driving sports cars, jumping rope as part of my fitness routine, and meditating during breathtaking beach sunsets. Native in Spanish and English, and conversational in Portuguese, I am dedicated to helping a diverse clientele achieve their real estate dreams worldwide.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
During the 2008 financial crisis, while many were stepping back, I was determined to push forward. I was eager to learn and adapt, finding opportunities where others saw obstacles. That mindset led to my first major sale, a large hotel in Miami Beach, and it ignited a passion that still drives me today.
Even now, after 18 years in the business, I remain a student of the ever-evolving real estate market. Every day brings something new to learn, and I embrace it with the same enthusiasm I had at the very beginning.
