Founded in 1978 by Stephen Riemer, Riemer Insurance is one of the oldest privately-held insurance brokers in Florida with over 40 professionals.
Through a series of acquisitions and a foundation of deeply-rooted community relationships, the Hallandale-based agency scaled to become one of the top insurance brokers in the region. In 2019, Stephen’s son, Brian Riemer, ascended to the CEO role after graduating with an MBA from Wharton. Brian has continued the growth trajectory of the business by instituting his private equity discipline to evaluate business models, risk, growth potential, and management teams.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Riemer Insurance has grown during the pandemic despite the challenges it presented. By increasing the utilization of efficiency tools such as e-signatures, video conferences, and cloud-based applications, Riemer has improved client service and enhanced productivity. While certain industries have been negatively impacted, the business is very fortunate to have many growing clients.
