Today we’d like to introduce you to Alina Zhecheva
Alina, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I studied medicine in Ukraine, earned my medical degree, and successfully opened my own clinic specializing in Botox and fillers. However, due to the war in 2022, I had to make the difficult decision to close my clinic and leave everything behind. In 2023, I decided to move to the USA, determined to start fresh and continue my journey in the field I am passionate about.
When I arrived, I hoped to open my own clinic, but I quickly discovered that my medical degrees from Ukraine weren’t recognized here. This setback required me to pivot and explore new ways to bring my vision to life. After months of research into the regulations governing medical aesthetics in the USA, especially in Florida, I learned I would need to hire a medical director and work with licensed physician assistants and nurse practitioners to operate legally.
The process was challenging, but I was determined to make it work. I spent nearly six months organizing everything—finding the perfect location, building a team, and ensuring every detail was aligned with Florida’s legal requirements. Finally, in October 2024, I opened the doors to my new clinic, ready to provide top-tier aesthetic services and build something meaningful in my new home.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been both challenging and rewarding. Starting a new company in the USA, especially in the medical field, comes with its own unique set of hurdles. Navigating the legal and regulatory landscape was complex, but I’ve been fortunate to connect with incredible people along the way who have helped me overcome these obstacles.
One of the biggest challenges was building everything from the ground up in a new country—finding the right team, understanding local regulations, and structuring the business to meet legal requirements. However, these challenges also presented opportunities. I believe in rewarding dedication, so I offered some of my early employees the chance to become percentage-based owners as founding partners.
This partnership model is a key part of my vision for long-term growth. I hope that by aligning with these early team members, we’ll not only build a strong brand but also be in a position to expand to new locations over the next 6 to 18 months. Having these partners by my side will be crucial as we scale and ensure the company’s success.
We’ve been impressed with GlowVita Med Spa, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are full service medical spa, HRT, IV’s injectable’s fillers and Botox and much more.
What’s next?
Yes planning to expand into multiple locations in SE Florida in the next 6-18 months. Long term we will see after the initial few locations are opened.
