Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like for so many, after 9/11 and having moved to Miami from New York, our business and our marriage fell apart. I was a single parent in a city where I hardly knew anyone with a baby, no green card and a home in foreclosure. At my lowest, I was not able to afford to have my broken down car repaires and had all my cards rejected when trying to buy groceries. Because of the help of a few good friends that saw my potential, I managed to slowly dif myself out of my hole, As I am a good writer, a friend who was a broker asked me to help write and review internet descriptions of buildings and areas in Miami – a great way to gain knowledge of Miami and the market. After I got my green card, another friend lend me the money to get my real estate licence and encouraged me start my career. The rest is history. Today I am happily married again, my daughter, who grew up having to accompany me to many showings, also has her real estate license, I own my own home and continue to achieve top producer recognition in my company.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Having worked in the arts and for auction houses I have established a good eye and understanding for historic homes, or properties that display specific period style elements. I also enjoy staging and helping my sellers bring out the best in their properties.

My background in PR and marketing allows me to focus on every one of my customers with a customized approach. I develop very property-specific marketing campaigns for my sellers, and use creative marketing strategies to help my buyers find what they are looking for,

Lastly, being from Europe and speaking German, I have put together a team of German-speaking ONE Sotheby’s agents along the coast of Souht-East Florida who can cater to a german-speaking clientele.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
y father was a diplomat and the first time we came to America I was 4 years ole and we lived in RIverdale, NY. I vividly remember this time: driving in to New York City, seeing the World Trade Center being built, ice skating at Rockefeller Center, grocery shopping at AP with my mom and seeing foods I had never seen before.. . For a little 4 year old girl from Germany, this was a very impressive experience.
