Hi Alanis, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always had the spirit of an entrepreneur. I began my business at the age of 13 with “Exotic Clozet,” now known as “Exotic Sev7n,” which was founded in June 2021. Starting Exotic Sev7n was a journey driven by passion and creativity! The first few years were challenging, with many breaks and inconsistency on my part.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
In February 2024, I decided to make a significant change and began using social media as a key tool for my business. However, in March 2024, I faced a huge setback with the passing of my boyfriend, who was my biggest supporter and always helped and invested in what I loved. His death forced me to take a long pause. As time passed, I made the decision to push forward and work 10 times harder, knowing that’s what he would have wanted for me. Since then, God has been blessing me abundantly. I’ve received offers, collaborations with influencers, and grown my audience to over 100k per month. This business wouldn’t be what it is today without putting God first!
We’ve been impressed with Exoticsev7n , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I initially began selling clothes before focusing on bikinis. Living in South Florida inspired me to shift my focus and start offering swimwear. What sets me apart is my unique vision and creativity when it comes to designing swimwear. I’m incredibly proud of how Exotic Sev7n has created a space for people to express their individuality through their swimwear. It’s truly rewarding to see how the brand connects with so many, empowering them to feel confident in their own skin. I offer a wide variety of stylish, high-quality swimwear.
What’s next?
My future plans include collaborating with influential individuals, partnering with other creatives, and opening my own store in South Florida.
