Hi Adriana, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m Adriana, founder and creator of Sweet Peas Co-Head Wraps. The new alternative to the uncomfortable hair bows that leave marks on our baby’s head. I’m a mother of a four-year-old girl Maya, mother of a baby boy Aiden and wife to my college sweetheart, Jason. I graduated from the University of Central Florida and shortly after landed a job at Discovery Channel. Unfortunately, while I was pregnant with Maya, my former company had a huge layoff, 100+ employees in which I was included. Fast forward a couple of months, I became obsessed with dressing up my newborn baby girl and loved bows of all sizes and colors. But what I started to notice these would leave marks on her head and she would pull them off because they weren’t very comfortable. She also didn’t have much hair, so I knew I wanted to put something on her little bald head to give her that girly look.
My thoughts were, what can I make that’s comfortable, lightweight and trendy and that’s where Sweet Peas Co turbans came to life… the rest is history from there! We’ve been featured on NBC, TELEMUNDO, VOGUE and seen in US Weekly, People magazine and many more. We’ve also been worn and loved by celebrity babies like the daughters of Gabrielle Union and Dwayne Wade, Khloe Kardashian, Shay Mitchell, just to name a few. Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I’ve learned a lot these past three years, good and bad. I’ve played every role in a business, what each entitles and what I’m actually good at or not. It has not been a smooth road but the biggest lesson I’ve learned is do not give up. You don’t need to be the smartest person in the room or have the most money… your passion and discipline is what will get you there!

What I’m most proud of is how an unfortunate event turned into the biggest blessing yet.
