Hi Adam , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Chef Hector Lopez and Adam Irvin met in a local restaurant where Chef hector was the executive chef and Adam was the general manager
They started Sidecar Kitchen 11 years ago with a food truck concept.
With the vision of serving restaurant quality food out of a mobile kitchen, with the hashtag #webringtherestuaranttoyou
After a couple of years roaming around south Florida, the catering business began to take off.
Now specializing in wedding catering and full service planning, Sidecar Kitchen also hosts corporate events, cocktail parties, bridal and baby showers, etc.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Of course starting a small business is never easy.
We learned a lot the first few years.
Just as the business was taking off, Covid happened. We thought for sure we were going to close.
It was our most difficult years, 2020 and 2021.
We laid low and only tired to do small projects to keep us afloat. We really learned how to survive on next to nothing.
And then the world opened up again and everyone was ready for a party! LOL
