Hi Yean, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
We are Venezuelan immigrants, both my wife and I are lawyers, but years ago when we arrived here we realized that exercising our career would not be possible.
So I was given the opportunity to work in the construction area, as an helper and shortly after I learned the stucco job..
For the year 2020 in the middle of the pandemic we decided to legally open our company, we started like everyone else with small jobs, but people were making reference to our work and today we carry out work not only at the residential but also commercial level, we not only provide work for ourselves we do also provide work to other people and that is something that fills us with a lot of satisfaction!
Another thing that makes us very proud is that we are one of the few Venezuelans who make stucco, since this is a branch that by culture or perhaps custom have been exercising mostly by people from Central America!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t been!
I started doing everything on my own, when I left my job as a plasterer I was going to distribute my business cards to places where I saw an opportunity to do stucco, there have been days where you have to get up early every day, get home late, work more than twelve hours a day, days when there is not even a moment to eat something, because I have had to go buy materials, move them from one place to another, prepare the entire area where we are going to work, be an helper, keep the accounts and do a little bit of everything, as you do At the beginning of each Business
But over time my wife was able to leave her old job and join the company, she does the administrative work (which is also quite difficult) and I continue to do everything operational, along with the other staff that we already have today and that has allowed us to grow and advance more!
