Today we’d like to introduce you to Wacinque Amistad Kaizen BeMende.
Hi Wacinque Kaizen, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I will answer this opening path with “Why” I got started and “Why” I’m where I am today. I learned when I was young that I was in the fourth generation mired in poverty, and while at church surrounded by people I loved deeply, I overheard an adult conversation about (this struck me to my core) being dead broke because of having so little money.
The launch of my financial mindset transformation began when I was 10 in 1969 and our teacher taught us how to understand and compute compound interests. In time, I became motivated to change not only my financial future but also those in my community. I studied Social Work with a minor in Banking and Finance. I completed an internship with IDS Income Diversified Services now known as Ameriprise Financial Services to prepare me to be a Personal Finance Management/Debt Management and Tax Preparation Instructor in the evenings and weekends nearly 50 years.
All while on the road to completing 40 years of military service. If this was not enough, I launched an AL Williams venture now known as Primerica Financial Services. The insights and lessons learned led to my launching KaizenRhino Solutions International L3C an innovative financial education venture.
