Today we’d like to introduce you to Shontell Williams.
Hi Shontell, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
To get to where I am today took a lot of hard work, determination and resilience. I began my journey as a teenage mom just trying to make something of myself; trying to be someone that my child could look up to. Initially, I went to school to become a nurse. Long story short, I studies hard, got accepted into the nursing program and two semesters later, I was out. I didn’t give up on myself though. The very next semester I changed my major from nursing to psychology and went on to obtain my bachelor’s degree. After accomplishing that goal, I went on to grad school. Then in 2021, I graduated with a Master of Education in Counselor Education. In total, it took me an additional 12 years after high school to finish what would have taken some only 6 or 7 years but nevertheless, I got it done!
After graduating, I became a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). For the past few years I’ve juggled working in both fields, therefore, I’ve structured my business to be all inclusive. At TellyCares, LLC we focus on transforming trials to triumph. Whether you’re going through a life transition, living with a disability or having some difficulties within your relationship, TellyCares will be there to help.
I can say proudly that I am thankful for my long journey because it brought me to where I am today. TellyCares has arrived!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road to successful is filled with obstacles and challenges so of course I’ve experienced my fair share. I’ve fight through sicknesses, heartbreaks, anger, pain and disappointment. You name it, I’ve been there, but I don’t like to dwell on the past. It’s called the past for a reason. All of it… I’m over it… lesson learned…and there nothing left to say.

TellyCares, LLC is a heart-driven organization rooted in the belief that even the toughest challenges can be transformed into meaningful triumphs. Guided by the motto “Transforming trials to triumph,” TellyCares provides compassionate and personalized care to individuals who are seeking healing, clarity, and growth in their personal lives.
At present, TellyCares specializes in two core services: therapy and the TellyCares Mentorship Initiative. Therapy services are designed to provide a safe, supportive space for individuals to process life’s difficulties, develop healthier coping strategies, and rebuild confidence in themselves. The mentorship initiative extends this mission by offering guidance, encouragement, and accountability to those navigating personal or professional transitions.
Currently, I am the sole therapist serving clients at TellyCares, which allows me to personally connect with and support each individual that walks through our doors. This one-on-one approach ensures that every client receives intentional care tailored to their unique journey. While we are a small and growing practice, our commitment to client-centered support is unwavering.
What sets TellyCares apart is not just the services we offer, but the way we offer them. We take a holistic, compassionate approach, meeting clients where they are and walking alongside them with understanding, care, and encouragement. Every client is more than a case—they are a person with a story worth honoring and a future worth investing in.
Brand-wise, I am most proud of the authenticity and trust that TellyCares represents. Our reputation is built on being approachable, accessible, and truly dedicated to helping people find hope and strength, even during the hardest seasons of life.
Looking ahead, the vision for TellyCares is bold and exciting. In 2026, our goal is to expand by adding more therapists to the practice, broadening our reach and creating greater access to quality care. This growth will allow us to serve more individuals, families, and communities, while staying true to our mission of empowering people to transform their trials into triumphs.
TellyCares is more than a practice—it’s a mission. We are here to inspire healing, provide support, and stand as a reminder that no matter where you are in your journey, transformation is possible.
What matters most to you? Why?
What matters to me most is twofold: my children and the people I serve. It’s deeply important to me that my kids have a mom they can be proud of—not just for what I accomplish, but for how I live, love, and persevere. I want them to see strength, integrity, and compassion in me so they know that no matter what life brings, they too can rise above challenges and build meaningful lives.
It also matters just as much to me that people receive the help they need. I believe no one should have to suffer in silence or feel like they are navigating life’s hardships alone. Providing therapy and mentorship allows me to stand in the gap, offering hope, healing, and guidance. Knowing that I can play a role in helping someone feel seen, supported, and empowered is at the very heart of why I do this work.
