Hidden Gems: Meet Sandra Madjdi

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sandra Madjdi.

Sandra Madjdi

Hi Sandra, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am an Iranian-born immigrant that came to this country with my mom, dad, and siblings to start a new life after the Iranian revolution. My mother is a hairstylist and business owner and my late father was also a brilliant businessman. My mom & Dad showed me what the American Dream looks like. With that, I embraced my dreams of starting my own business and career in all areas image.

As much as I love doing hair I also love dressing and styling people. So that led me to leave Virginia post-college and embrace my dreams by moving to NY. Working in hair salons and retail stores like Saks and building my clients and name. That led me to an agency and build my brand.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Nothing in life is easy or given to you. For that, I must say I have pushed harder and worked harder to achieve my goals and dreams. I have to say the struggle is real, haha. No, it has been. I have lived through many things in life that have come to reshape me.

From leaving my childhood home and land, being a refugee in Italy and living in a convent and not knowing what is next, to surging 911, the economic & housing market crash of 2008, moved to South Florida when everyone was screaming why, when the country was struggling to survive economically, being a single mom to dealing with Covid and my 3 businesses being shut down.

However, I never gave up and I realized how important it is to keep pushing and going.

As you know, we’re big fans of Sandra Madjdi LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We are a full image consulting firm that specializes in all areas of image. From personal style, production of any kind, red carpet, and special events, celebrity artists and public figures count on us to revamp or reinvent a new image to help them conquer their own professional goals.

I have built private labels and created private wardrobe collections for my clients working with some of the world’s renowned designers. Having the ability to create a new image is powerful and I take this very seriously as it’s my passion to help people achieve their image goals.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you.
I don’t believe in luck. I believe in God and I believe in our ability through faith to achieve what we set our minds to.
