Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Well, I had a dream to one day own my own business again and decided to start selling and selling boats from my home about 5 years ago. It was tuff a first i had to wait for my income tax so I may purchase my first boat for sale. It was a bit hard at first, I had a lot of knowledge about mechanical experience, but nothing prepared me for this world of Boating. so, I purchased my first boat a 2006 Four Winns 260 cruiser. It needed some love, like a good buff and a new interior, and a complete service which all was done but it took effort. Finally, it got ready and placed it for sale, and in a couple of weeks it sold to a family. From that first time, seeing how happy it made that family I decided to be part of the experience that made people feel great about boating and world on the sea. So, I continued to buy and sell boats and do honest work to repair them, knowing families were going to be using them with small kids. I always think about how my daughters enjoy going to the islands and going on the water on the inner coast. So, safety is my first concern. After some time i decided to find a location and find a place close to me and I rented my first boat yar from a gentleman that gave me an opportunity to start. It was small space at first, only 3000sqft. After continuing to a year continuing to do good business i was able to expand the yard to 13,500 sqft offering all types of marine services. One of my services Fuel polishing and fuel tanking cleaning helped me grow my business and continue to expand now to 36,000sqft. I have been blessed to give back, when I have customers that were taken advantage of or could not find an honest mechanic, I was there to help how I could and charge them the least possible to get them back on the right track with smiles and a good feeling inside. The world of boating changes people for good. I want to be part of a person or family experience enjoying what I call Water World, where it’s you and the ocean and waves. Many blessings.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a bit hard, finding the right people that do honest and good work, but lucky I have made a great team of good people. My team stands behind their work and know families are our responsibility. So when we work on boats, it an extension of our family getting aboard that vessel and we’re going to do everything possible that their safe.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We do all types of services on boats but we do as if our families are the one purchasing these boats and they must be safe. I like to specialize in Fuel Tank Cleaning and Fuel polishing because I feel I have made improvements which affect the way boats runs and keep you safe.
I know that what makes us different that we care for our customers and try to help them when we can, it’s not always about making money, it’s more about the opportunity you give families to do things together when we live so far apart these days from each other. It brings us closer to each other.
