Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Chávez.
Hi Nicole, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is Nicole Chavez. I was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, and moved to the U.S. with my family eight years ago. When we arrived, I barely spoke English, but over time, I learned and now, I’m proud to say I’m a student at Florida International University, studying Public Relations, Advertising, and Communications.
But my story with content and creativity started long before college.
When I was little, I had a YouTube channel. I remember how excited I was to hit 100 subscribers. I loved editing and putting videos together even back then, my editing skills were pretty good. But when people at school started making fun of me, I got embarrassed and stopped posting. Looking back, I wish I had kept going. That experience taught me something I carry with me now: you can’t let other people’s opinions stop you from doing what makes you happy.
Fast forward to today I’ve found my voice again through TikTok. I post lifestyle content, behind-the-scenes looks at my business, what I do at photoshoots, I’m incredibly thankful to Sweety High for reaching out and helping me grow on the TikTok platform. Their one-on-one mentorship and support with TikTok Lives has made a huge difference, and it’s helping me step into my role as a content creator with more confidence and clarity.
In November 2024, I co-founded Elevate Marketing Team with my best friend Lexi. We started strong, but like many startups, we hit some bumps early on and lost motivation. Then something clicked. We came up with an idea called Content Days, where we help businesses new or established bring their brand to life through creative direction, photoshoots, and content strategy.
Our first Content Day was with Zoe, a talented hairstylist and a friend from high school. That project opened the door to a network of other passionate creatives and small businesses, and it hasn’t stopped since. In July 2025, we signed our first official social media management deal with Elba, a beautiful restaurant in Las Olas. We’re also about to start working witj Dodeca, a swimsuit brand we’re super excited to support their journey.
Back in April, Lexi and I also got the opportunity to intern for another marketing agency in Miami. We were still new in our business journey, so we thought it could be a great learning experience. And it was we got to work with incredible brands like Urbani Truffle and Astra Miami, and we gained valuable insight into the industry. But through that, we realized something even more important: we don’t want to work for anyone else. We want to build our brand, our way.
I just turned 20 in May, and I’m more driven than ever. I love everything creative fashion, beauty, skincare, hospitality and I’m passionate about helping people elevate their vision. This journey has taught me that no matter how young you are or where you come from, if you’re willing to learn, adapt, and stay true to yourself, you can create something incredible.
To anyone out there holding themselves back out of fear or judgment don’t. You never know what could happen if you just start. People’s opinions don’t define you. And the moment you stop caring about what doesn’t matter, that’s when the real journey begins.
If you’re ready to elevate your brand or bring your vision to life, don’t hesitate to reach out. I’d love to help you grow, create, and step into your next level of success. Let’s build something amazing together.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of the biggest challenges we’ve faced—especially being so young—is that people often try to take advantage of you. Lexi and I both just turned 20, and there have been many moments where people saw our inexperience as an opportunity to manipulate us. They’ll make promises that sound amazing—but if it’s not in writing, if it’s not in a contract, it doesn’t matter. That was one of the biggest lessons we’ve learned: verbal promises mean nothing without paper to back them up. False promises can be so discouraging, but they also taught us to trust ourselves and focus on building something real.
The truth is—you don’t need the best camera, the fanciest setup, or years of experience to start. You just need passion, consistency, and a clear goal. The rest will come. Eventually, you’ll earn and invest in better tools, but what matters most is your drive.
Another challenge has been learning how to handle rejection. At first, hearing “no” felt discouraging—like we weren’t enough. But over the past few months, I’ve come to realize that no is actually good. A “no” still means someone took the time to respond. It’s still a connection. It’s a step forward. And sometimes, those same people who say no initially come back later and want to work with you. That’s happened to us more than once. Because we reached out, introduced ourselves, and showed up confidently—they remembered us. And when the time was right, they reached back out.
Now, I see every no as redirection, not rejection. Every effort we make to put ourselves out there is planting seeds—even if we don’t see them bloom right away. There’s room for everyone to succeed, and if you keep showing up and putting in the work, you will find your space.
So, to anyone just starting: don’t wait for permission, and don’t let rejection define you. Trust your voice, learn from every experience, and keep going.
As you know, we’re big fans of Elevate Marketing Team. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Elevate Marketing Team is a creative marketing agency I co-founded with my best friend, Lexi, in November 2024. What truly sets us apart is how personally we treat every brand we work with like OUR OWN. We pour into each client as if their business were our own because we know what it feels like to build something from the ground up. We’re not just delivering a service; we’re bringing visions to life with care, strategy, and creativity. That level of dedication is what makes Elevate different from other agencies.
Our core services include Content Days, Social Media Management, and Digital Marketing:
• Content Days are our signature offering—these are branding photoshoots designed to elevate your brand’s image and identity. Whether you’re starting from zero or you’re already established and looking to refresh your visuals, we create intentional, high-quality content that reflects who you are and what you stand for.
• Social Media Management is where we take full ownership of your online presence. We offer various monthly packages that include everything from content creation and scheduling to engagement and strategy. This service often includes graphic design, reels, captions, and everything needed to make your social media stand out.
• Digital Marketing covers things like paid advertising, Google Ads, and strategic campaigns that get your brand seen by the right audience.
We started Elevate with absolutely nothing—no investors, no fancy equipment, just a shared vision and a lot of passion. Seeing how far we’ve come, how many amazing clients we’ve helped, and what we’re able to create week after week is beyond rewarding.
Elevate is more than a business to us it’s our baby. It represents everything we believe in: creativity, authenticity, and growth. And as two 20-year-old founders, we’re proud to be part of a new generation of entrepreneurs showing that age doesn’t define capability.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
When it comes to resources, my number one best friend is Canva Pro. I truly believe it’s one of the best investments you can make if you’re in the creative or marketing world. I pay $15 a month, and it’s worth every cent—it gives you access to thousands of templates, tools, and features that let you be the graphic designer you never knew you could be. Whether it’s for social media, presentations, client branding, or pitch decks, Canva has it all. It’s my ride-or-die.
Next up is CapCut Pro, which I use to edit all my video content. Whether it’s short-form videos for TikTok and Reels or longer projects, CapCut is so user-friendly but still powerful enough to create polished, professional-level edits. I also pay for the Pro version, and it’s 100% worth it. It unlocks advanced features that really elevate the quality of my content.
And then there’s Pinterest my go-to for creative inspiration. It’s an amazing platform to explore aesthetic ideas, build mood boards, and map out visual concepts for shoots or branding projects. While I don’t always get my final ideas from Pinterest, it’s the perfect starting point when I’m brainstorming or looking for fresh direction.
As for podcasts, I’ve been listening to The Mindset Mentor since high school shoutout to my best friend Guada for putting me on. It’s great for helping you reset your mindset, stay focused, and stay aligned with your goals. More recently, I’ve been loving I Missed Me by Mafé Anzúres. She speaks so authentically, and her episodes dive deep into self-love, personal growth, and healing her podcast has become one of my new favorites, and I’d recommend it to anyone needing some encouragement and inspiration.
These tools and voices have helped shape the way I work, create, and grow not just professionally, but personally too.
