Hidden Gems: Meet Natalia Mikolajek Sandra Sotomska of Social Brand

Today we’d like to introduce you to Natalia Mikolajek Sandra Sotomska. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Not knowing each other, Natalia and Sandra moved from Poland to the USA in 3Q of 2016 to make American dream come true. We started following each other on IG soon after coming to Miami. After few weeks decided to meet for coffee.

As the Founder and Business Development Director of Social Brand, Natalia Mikolajek is responsible for running all facets of the business. Natalia has a proven executive management track record and over 7 years of experience driving sales growth in the manufacturing and supply chain industry. Prior to creating her own company Natalia was Director of Sales and Marketing for FreightCore, responsible for all global sales and marketing activities. At FreightCore she led the transformation into an enterprise-focused company while growing sales year over year. Previously, she served as Sales and Marketing Executive of Radwag USA, where she led the design and implementation of all sales and marketing strategies. She earned a bachelor’s degree at the Jagiellonian University (Cracow, Poland) and master’s degree at university college Dublin (Dublin, Ireland).

Sandra Sotomska is the Founder and Artistic Director of Social Brand. After studying Adults Education and Social Marketing at University of Wroclaw (Wroclaw, Poland) she moved to the USA where she worked within most recognizable brands in South Florida.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
As a business owners we will always face a range of challenges. What worked a year ago might now be not the best approach. For us, small business owners – we wear too many hats! Especially in consulting businesses/service businesses, not only do we have to provide our expertise, we also have to manage all aspects of our business, We are accountants, the marketing managers, the schedule keepers, etc.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Social Brand?
We are not a full-service digital agency. We do 1 thing and we do it well. Social. Our goal is to connect your brand with the modern consumer. Engaging and reengaging them on platforms where they spend their most time. We are the agency that combines big ideas with perfect execution.

Of course, you shouldn’t risk everything, you have made or created but calculated move can push your company forward. Creating Social Brand was absolutely risky, we both left well paid corporation jobs to create a company and now we know it was the best decision we made.
