Hidden Gems: Meet Monica Del Valle of Break Free Movement

Today we’d like to introduce you to Monica Del Valle.

Hi Monica, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I worked in the healthcare industry for 10 years as a Certified Health Coach and Nutrition & Wellness Consultant.

In 2020 I became a Certified Yoga Instructor doing private and group classes at schools and local events in the community. After getting my Aerial Fitness certification in 2022, I knew I wanted to open a studio that would include the best yoga, aerial fitness, and core flex classes taught by the best instructors in Miami.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I have to admit that I feel like it has been such a smooth road.

Everyone involved in this project has been so aligned with me and my ideas. From the very beginning, everything flowed. Anyone who has helped or been a part of the studio has shown so much enthusiasm that it has truly inspired me even more. I am so incredibly grateful.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Break Free Movement?
Break Free Movement is a boutique fitness studio that includes infrared yoga, aerial classes, core flex classes, and more. I want clients to leave my studio feeling empowered after class. The studio is dark, moody, and has a sexy vibe. I have practiced yoga consistently for over 20 years and my wish is for clients to fall in love with yoga. A common complaint I often hear is that yoga is boring.

I’ve also realized how many people avoid yoga because they feel they aren’t flexible enough, or they feel self-conscious in a class setting. The studio at Break Free has mirrors and dim lights so clients can lose the intimidation, focus on themselves and be present on their mat. Music is also a big theme for all of our fitness classes. A good playlist can make a huge difference and can positively impact your workout experience. I think what sets us apart are our aerial classes.

While there may be many yoga and core classes in Miami, aerial fitness is definitely unique. I’m proud of my brand and the name Break Free Movement for many reasons. I have a personal connection to the name which was fueled by a transformational time in my life. Truly, I want clients to feel that mind and body connection in our studio. I want clients to feel good, empowered, and strong after a challenging workout. I want clients to walk into Break Free Movement, let go of anything weighing them down, and step into their power.

What’s next?
I am looking forward to hosting lots of private group classes and special workshops that support local brands and small businesses.

I also like to dream big and using visualization has always kept me motivated. So, I’m definitely visualizing a few Break Free Movement Studios in Miami.
