Hi Maria, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I work in the hair industry for over than 20 years and for more that ten years I’m teaching people my author hair-color technique. I have received four patents in Russia and my victories in international hairdressing competitions gave me the opportunity to get a talent visa in the USA.
In the USA, I opened my first hair salon and it became successful from the first days of work, thanks to social media. At the moment, the salon is growing and I have already a several of employees who support my standards of service and beauty. I know that my story in the USA is just beginning and I’m happy to offer this country my talents.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Of course, it was not so easy journey and I did have some difficulties on the road. I remember a conversation with my teacher in beauty school. It was a very good teacher and he is over than 80 years old now. I asked him for advice on what to do to become successful and he told that: “Everything you do, do it with all your heart and give the best you can to do it perfectly.” He was so right and now I’m giving the same advice to all my students.
