My responsibilities included market research, forecasting, analytics, and the automation of business processes, all of which contributed significantly to sustained growth and profitability.
Throughout this period, photography remained a personal passion and hobby rather than a professional pursuit. However, after relocating to the United States, I saw an opportunity to merge my extensive background in marketing and management with my enthusiasm for photography. My journey certainly hasn’t been easy or straightforward. Establishing my own business from scratch in a new country came with a variety of unique challenges and obstacles.
One of the first major hurdles was adapting my extensive international marketing experience—gained across European, Asian, and Latin American markets—to meet the specific demands of the U.S. market. Understanding local consumer behaviors, grasping cultural nuances, and building trusted relationships without the advantage of an existing professional network required significant effort and patience. Additionally, transitioning from a high-level executive role in large, established companies to becoming an entrepreneur personally managing every detail of a startup demanded acquiring entirely new skills, both professionally and personally.
Another substantial challenge was effective resource management. As a new business owner, I had to carefully balance financial investments and operational expenses, always ensuring we maintained the highest possible quality standards. Finding reliable partners, recruiting and training a strong local team, and delivering consistently outstanding service required considerable dedication and resilience.
A particularly notable difficulty has been identifying and retaining qualified personnel. Finding professionals who can effectively engage restaurant patrons, precisely adapt to each client’s branding requirements, and simultaneously demonstrate advanced photography skills has proven to be exceptionally challenging. Many candidates struggle with developing proficiency in both areas, limiting their long-term growth potential within our organization. Furthermore, I’ve encountered a shortage of genuinely motivated individuals committed to long-term growth, which has significantly slowed our business expansion. Although I’ve successfully built a solid reputation and earned strong trust from numerous partners throughout South Florida—creating opportunities for rapid growth—the quality of service remains my primary concern. That’s why we’ve prioritized extensive training programs, enabling us to quickly determine whether a new hire will become a long-term, valuable member of our team.
Despite these challenges, each obstacle has provided an opportunity for growth, enabling me to build a flexible and resilient business. Successfully overcoming these difficulties has played a crucial role in the continued success and growth of ABCPhotoshoot.
