Today we’d like to introduce you to Liz Seligman.
Hi Liz, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My name is Liz Seligman, and I am the founder and event producer of Island Life Events, an event planning company specializing in weddings and corporate events.
I launched Island Life Events in 2013 in the Florida Keys, hence the name, and over the years we expanded into Miami and Destination, experiencing tremendous growth along the way.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Owning your own business comes with constant challenges, balancing clients’ needs, managing expectations and still finding time for yourself. It is a lot of responsibility, but also incredibly rewarding.

Island Life Events began in 2013 as a small event planning company in the Florida Keys and has blossomed into a thriving business serving both the Keys, Miami and Destination. In 2016 my daughter Sarah joined me as managing partner, and together we’ve built not only unforgettable weddings and corporate events, but also a true family legacy.
Clients often tell us they love the dynamic of a mother-daughter team, and we take pride in pouring our heart, creativity and dedication into every event we plan.
