Hidden Gems: Meet Lindsey Lamchick of The Edit

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Lindsey Lamchick.

Lindsey Lamchick

Hi Lindsey, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
I am a small-town girl from Ocean Township, just an hour from NYC. After meeting my husband, Ryan, at Syracuse University, we both pursued law degrees at the University of Miami. Graduating in 2005, I embarked on a career as a real estate attorney, delving deep into the intricacies of the field.

In 2012, I obtained my real estate license, initially intending to handle personal transactions. Little did I know, this decision would ignite a passion and lead to a thriving career. Starting as a side hustle, I assisted friends and acquaintances with their real estate needs. However, it was during COVID that my career took off. Originating from the New York area, I became a trusted resource for those wanting to escape the city for South Florida, earning a reputation for securing off-market deals and facilitating seamless relocations for numerous families.

My real estate career began at Douglas Elliman, where I received accolades such as the Gold Award and the President’s Circle Award, solidifying my expertise in the industry. Yet, I yearned for more. With an entrepreneurial spirit, I envisioned establishing my own brokerage, a place where innovation and excellence thrive. Last fall, I partnered with Side, a leading real estate technology brokerage, aligning perfectly with my vision. This collaboration empowers me to not only run but grow my business, equipped with cutting-edge tools and unwavering support.

In May 2023, The Edit was born—a luxury real estate brokerage built on trust and success. Our mission extends beyond transactions; we craft tailored experiences for our clients, curating and representing some of the most exquisite properties in Miami. As we continue to shape the future of the Miami real estate scene, my dedication to excellence remains unwavering, driven by a relentless pursuit of success and client satisfaction.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As a successful top Miami realtor, navigating the launch process of opening my own brokerage in this competitive market posed numerous challenges. From branding decisions to selecting office space, every step required meticulous planning and execution. One of the most significant hurdles was managing client needs amidst the excitement and pressure of launching a new venture.

Having a partner initially seemed like a good idea at the time, but it also meant longer decision-making processes and compromises. Eventually, parting ways was a tough but necessary decision to ensure the success and direction of the business. Transitioning to sole ownership brought its own set of challenges, but hiring a business coach and a dedicated director of operations proved invaluable.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I am the founder of The Edit, a luxury real estate brokerage that launched May 2023. Our goal is to provide a curated real estate experience that is as unique and remarkable as the properties we represent. Our team of highly skilled professionals sets us apart from others, when we merge real estate, legal, and relocation expertise to bring our clients an unparalleled level of service.

My goal was to form a culture of passionate agents who want to partner with me and stay on the cutting edge of real estate. We are deeply committed to delivering exceptional results in the real estate industry, are passionate about what we do, and take pride in our ability to provide unmatched service and results. We are committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity, and look forward to continuing to serve our clients with excellence.

How do you think about luck?
While hard work and dedication have been foundational to my success, I also attribute much of it to the people I surround myself with. Investing in a strong team, like promoting my business manager to a full-time director of operations, has allowed me to focus more on client needs while they handle behind-the-scenes operations at The Edit. Additionally, having a business coach has been instrumental in keeping me accountable and laser-focused on my goals through weekly meetings.

Furthermore, the support of family and friends, who often refer business to me, has been invaluable. Knowing that there are people rooting for my success creates a sense of gratitude and motivation. While luck may have played a role in some aspects, I believe that cultivating strong relationships and investing in personal and professional development have been the driving forces behind my achievements in the Miami real estate market.
