Today we’d like to introduce you to Lexi Reyes.
Hi Lexi, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am the owner and CEO of Get Waisted By Lexi. I have always been inspired by all things beauty, health and wellness. I became a licensed nurse in high school and later graduated from Broward College with my Bachelor of Science in nursing. I love being a nurse and helping people, but always envisioned becoming my own boss.
I’ve always been self-conscious and wanted to find a way to better shape my body. I began performing body contouring services on myself over five years ago. While on the journey to myself, I realized a lot of similarities in the people who were seeking my services. Little by little, I started doing friends, family, and co-workers. I made my living room into a make shift studio and would take clients during my days off from the hospital. I have serviced over 800 clients.
In 2020, during the middle of a global pandemic I made the huge decision to leave the hospital setting and focus on my dreams. The transition was intimidating and there were times I questioned if I had made the right choice, but I never looked back. I’m thankful to have found another career opportunity I’m truly passionate about. There’s no better feeling then helping someone reach their goals and feel more confident about themselves.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
As they say, the road to success is never smooth. The biggest challenge I’ve had to face was definitely the COVID-19 pandemic. Opening up my first business with no guidance was scary. But in the middle of a worldwide pandemic? People called me crazy, I knew it was a huge risk but I wasn’t going to give up. I’m not where I want to be, but I believe I have made it past the hard part of starting my career and questioning whether I will make it or not.
With constant shutdowns and restrictions, it was a huge obstacle to overcome, but I wasn’t going to give up! I continued to find new and innovative ways to bring awareness and education to what exactly is body contouring. With everyone home and on their phones, I used social media to my advantage. Social media helped to put my name on the map. Once restrictions started to loosen up, my hard work had paid off and I had a huge jump in clientele. I strive to provide my students with the guidance and support I never received when starting my own business.

Get Waisted By Lexi is a luxury body and wellness studio that focuses on building confidence. I offer a wide range of services and as a package as well. We provide non-invasive body contouring services such as fat cavitation, radiofrequency, butt enhancement, fat dissolve mesotherapy, endermotherapy, wood/metal therapy, cellulite treatments, body wrapping, post op lymphatic drainage, and more! Every client is different and all clients receive custom treatment plans. I strive to provide all my clients with top-notch services. Get Waisted By Lexi has been successful and I hope it continues to grow and flourish throughout South Florida. I’m here to share my knowledge and started to offer training classes for those interested in joining me in this multi-billion dollar industry!
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Everything starts in your head. You have to want and believe your business is going to be successful, even if no one else does. Discipline and determination are essential if you want your business to be successful. In order to reach your business goals, you have to be disciplined. Showing up everyday to reach your goals and removing the distractions that push you off track. There is not always motivation, but there is determination. Staying motivated and confident in yourself that what you created will be successful can be very difficult at times.
